On VKB Ginfighter I set the hat to be buttons. Reads as buttons in GB, but its seen as an axis in Korea. Its the hat below the red 'AP off' button.

Occasionally it sees the button, but when assigning the opposite side it goes back to the axis.

Axis T and P according to Korea, should be buttons 69/70 and 71/72.

Just wanted to bring this up again. The axis is still detected most of the time. Sometimes I get one "button" to assign but then moving the hat the other way it picks up the axis. Doesn't matter which way I move the hat, axis is picked up most of the time.

Today after several tries I was able to get the hat "buttons" assigned, I need to test in game if they work but its a little better, however, still not functioning as expected and how it works in GB.

By default the hat reads as two axis, plus the center press button but I modified the behavior in the stick setup so they are buttons instead. Korea is setting both with preference on the axis.

Thank you!

EDIT: Happily it does work, maybe a little slower than GB but will need to check again. But now I'm able to use my hat to set the gunfight range and target size in Korea which means the advanced sights will finally be useful again. Not sure if any work had been done in this, as I was able to actually set both hat buttons for up/down and left/right or just got lucky today.

As I was able to set the hat commands up finally and will not be changing them I suppose this is a much lower impact/issue unless others run into the same thing but I very well could be a very miniscule minority with this so can set this to back burner priority to focus on other items. Thanks again!

'MiG-15biss' - maybe a spelling mistake, maybe just awkward pluralization?

In the technical chat, it’s degrees (like on a plane); in the interface, it’s percentages (universal).

We learn everyday 🙂

After starting the game, the completed exam print is not displayed in the corner of the interface.
Although all the exams for the MiG-15 have been passed. After entering the museum menu changing aircraft and returning to the main menu,
the print in the corner returns. I also have a mig-15 career, maybe it has something to do with this bug.

Hi i have no idea what caused it but for some reason mid sortie my mouse got locked to a strip in the middle of the screen so i could barely look around so i returned to the menu to see if that fixed it but the main menu was the same so i had to reboot to fix it.

few comments regarding T2 tanker model in the Museum:

1. Tanker's specs in Museum say the vessel is propelled by 1 screw. Historically it is correct, but in-game model has double-screw construction

2. Displacement/tonnage specs of the tanker are missing

Issues with fast travel.

I have noticed that if you use 'fast travel' when the entire group is nog in formation the stragglers are still stragglers after the jump. After the jump the group should be in formation. This is issue one.

Issue Two. Every time I coma out of Fast travel my F-51 is in a serious nose down attitude of 20 degrees of more.

Issue three. All my trim settings are set back to 0. Please keep the trim settings from before activating Fast Travel.

I have only flown the F-51 in career so I do not know if these issues are limited to the F-51.

Hello there!

I noticed an issue with the key mapping controls after exiting the aircraft. It seems some keys are hardcoded, which causes conflicting actions.

Description: After exiting the aircraft, it is possible to move the pilot around on the ground using the 4 arrow keys. This happens even if these arrow keys are completely unassigned for movement in the settings. 😉
Furthermore, if the arrow keys are assigned to other actions (like looking around or camera controls), pressing them will trigger both actions simultaneously. The pilot walks, and the other assigned action executes at the same time.

Steps to reproduce:
  1. Map the 4 arrow keys to a different action (e.g., camera controls) and ensure they are not bound to pilot movement.
  2. Start a flight, land, and exit the aircraft to walk on foot.
  3. Press the arrow keys.
  4. Notice that the pilot moves around and the other assigned action (like the camera) triggers at the exact same time.
It would be great if someone from the team could take a look at this whenever there is time. I hope I'm not mistaken, but it feels like these keys might be hardcoded for foot travel. 🙂

Thank you very much!
Best regards

Airbrakes extend/retract command doesn't behave correctly - at least based on the below and maybe I'm wrong.

MiG-15 for example: Hit the button to deploy and the in-cockpit switch activates and airbrake deploys. Visibly and FM-wise the airbrake deploys. Hit the same button, the in-cockpit switch flips, audio indicating switch plays, but the airbrake remains deployed visibly and the audible buffet until a subsequent button hit then it retracts with no associated click or change to the in-cockpit switch.

So seems like there's an extra button press but has no relation to any in-cockpit action.

EDIT: Appears that the F80 and F86 respond as expected. So either a bug, so far, limited to the MiG 15 or I'm missing how the cockpit switch has no relation to airbrake retract other than it unlocks the ability to retract but then what in-game cockpit press actually retracts?

Essentially I have to double tap the extend/retract button to retract airbrakes with the MiG-15

I use a TM Warthog stick/throttle. I have a Xbox controller plugged in that I don't use. Even with the controller deleted in game and with all FFB controls set to zero, it still vibrates on my desk, especially take off and landings. Why can't this be completely disabled? I even went through Steam to disable the gamepad. Annoying and I really hate to have to plug/replug every time. Thanks.

Multiplayer Lobby: the refresh button doesn't work; the only thing it refreshes is ping. To refresh the player counts you have to leave the lobby and rejoin.

See pic.   Makes me wonder if the command list may also be cut off?

This is probably caused by my 5120x1440 resolution.

I just tried my first multiplayer map in IL-2 Korea, and I'm not having much luck with the maps.

It seems as though the minimap doesn't show my aircraft on it, and it doesn't pan or move as I travel, nor can i find a way to move it manually - so in many cases I'm literally no where visible on the minimap nor is my target destination.  I can change the zoom of it with the M key, sure, but that doesn't resolve the issue.

Additionally, while i can see the briefing map with N, that doesn't really help either.  Is this expected behavior, or something being worked on that is broken?

Seems that setting trim or other controls don't work for certain airframes.

You have to go into the airframe Manuel and see if a key bind is working or has been added for the like of elevator trim up and down even though its already been added in the main GUI.

Yet LA-11 won't pick up the some key binds. Not sure on other airframes as not got that far.

Surely if we bind trims up and down and open and close canopy,  in main menu, we don't have to come to a single airframe manual and do it all over again and the eject button didn't work and canopy open and close had to rebind " C " to open and close canopy. Its Very odd.

A few bugs still active in GUI  or misleading key-binds, Or the key-binds not picking up for such airframes .

Going to Commander's menu from the Multimenu does not recognize navigation buttons (other than number keys) in the first try.

So in every mission, I have to open it once, then close with ESC, and open again, then it works. I'm able to go down and into th options using my mapped keys (in my case a mini joy on the throttle).

This is a very helpful menu, so I would love it if this got fixed!

It would be really nice to have a binding to zoom the briefing map in and out from a HOTAS. I can't really get my mouse to do this while I'm flying and just trying to verify some landmarks or something, and the scroll wheel seems to be the only way.

You can already.

For briefing map Zoom is UI Focus next / prev.

I'd like to be able to use the minimap in same fashion as kneeboard in dcs instead of pulling the full screen map.

Thank you, I meant to come back and say I discovered this by accident last night, but thanks for indeed confirming it 🙂
