Red_Dragon Posted June 27 Posted June 27 (edited) Who knows what the custom view is called now? A custom-view command. Ok/ Ive got it Edited June 27 by Red_Dragon
Gunfreak Posted June 27 Posted June 27 I've bound and rebound the trim, but non of the trims seem to have any effect
jetski Posted June 27 Posted June 27 I have 2 controls issues When flying the Mig 15, if I need to reverse the direction of the rudder single axis input in the game, the differential braking is not reversed, so is the opposite sense and the plane becomes very hard to control on the ground. I have a HOTAS Cougar and luckily I can change the axis sense on the device. If I do not need to reverse the axis sense in game, everything is OK. If I make changes to the controls they do not actually take effect until after the game is restarted.
FuriousMeow Posted June 27 Posted June 27 (edited) Interactive control going haywire randomly. it isn't the mouse, its like the right and down arrow key are being held within the parts of the GUI that can be cycled through by those commands but in the map theres a constant down and right with the cursor until it reaches the lower right map boundary. Its random, won't be there on startup and will be able to go through the game and fly for a while and not happen. it just randomly occurs. I've seen this before in games that think my HOTAS are a gamepad so a rotary or other axis causes a consistent cycle through interactive buttons or the controlled player will spin and run in one direction constantly but this ain't that. Not sure what could be causing it. I've also had full lockups where the game seems to still be running but I'm otherwise unable to interact in any way. I have HDR enabled via nVidia's control panel - not the Win11 implementation which that one seems to be the cause of issues for others. I'll try disabling next week when I'm back and test more but just wanted to get these two recorded. Edited June 27 by FuriousMeow
Mentalish Posted June 28 Posted June 28 (edited) I've been having issues were the mixture controls are not working what so ever. I've - Re bound the keyboard buttons - Set it up on my throttle - Set up some keybinds on my Stick The game isnt recognizing any of these inputs and its driving me insane right now. I've even turned off the helper and nothing is being recognized. Edit: After popping the Multimenu (backspace) up and testing the keybindings, it looks like it works but theres no UI on the right hand side showing you increase or decreasing said fuel mixture. EagleMountain Posted June 28 Posted June 28 10 hours ago, Gunfreak said: I've bound and rebound the trim, but non of the trims seem to have any effect Hi Gunfreak Please take a look at the first page in this thread 😉 The short answer is that different planes have different kind of trim (I learned the hard way). So I have double mapped my trim buttons and for now it seems like I have trim in the plane types I've been flying. The F-86 has not the same trim buttons as the IL-10... Take a look at "Manual Trimming controls" 038-041 and "Servo-Trimming controls" 042-049.
Mark_Krieger Posted June 28 Posted June 28 Flight manual F-51D: (in english) TAKEOFF Set the rudder trim to +6 degrees. Set the rudder trim to 0 to 2.4 degrees for a nose-down attitude (with a full rear tank). It shoud say pitch instead of rudder. RESTRICTIONS it says restrictions on aerobatics are lifted when there are less than 20 gallons in the rear tank. In the Flight text it says 40 gallons. And in the real manual of the F-51 it says it must be empty. It says 2025 pound bombs instead of 1000 pound bombs too. 2 CPU AMD Ryzen 7800 X3D, GPU AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX, RAM: 64 Gb DDR5, VR Headset: Quest 3.
MJones Posted June 28 Posted June 28 I'm having the same mouse problem as reported by other users. Mouse flickers and goes crazy and spasmodic.
Edited June 28 by LbS_Kermet

The game continues as before, but the main menu appears, allowing you to click on all the menu items. You can also enter the airplane viewing mode from the main menu. Thanks to this feature, I was able to look around the entire instrument panel, so I flew to the base and landed safely. 🤣 This is the main menu screen that reminds me of the classic game Operation Flashpoint. For some reason, it doesn't look bad. 🙂 The credit screen has also changed to a more atmospheric look. It was absurd, but it's a funny bug. lol. How can I get these views? Do I need to complete a flight and land?BTW Did you manage to "walk" the pilot around a bit?? CPU: i7-14700F RAM: iBuyPower 2x16GB 5200MT/s SSD: WD Green SN 3000 1TB NVMe GPU: Nvidia RTX 5060
Draken11 Posted June 28 Posted June 28 When more that the number (15?) of IL-2 Korea supported USB controllers are physically connected to the computer, the game does not even load... I have 19 usb controller in my simpit and I have to disconnect some to get the game running. In this time an age, this is unacceptable, first a crash and then not enough device supported in a golden age of flight simulation with hundreds of different flight sim related controllers available. Please, increase the number of simultaneous USB controllers supported by the game.

Bobo Posted June 28 Posted June 28 I had it working after restating a sortie. Like another poster said, the frames went to hell, but at least the good 'ol MSFFB had life! Thanks guys!

Cadum Posted June 28 Posted June 28 Regarding pitch Trim responsiveness - I have a Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog flight stick and rudder. When I attempt to make Trim changes to pitch I find the Trim button has a variable impact on raising or lowering the nose of each aircraft. Sometimes a slight touch on my Stick Trim button has a dramatic impact on the pitch of the aircraft - sometimes it seems to have little impact and I find myself hitting the button, holding it down or up for sometimes seconds, before an actual trim impact is observed. Since there is no way that I can adjust the Trim function impact to my key press, it is likely that some programming steps would be needed to get predictable pitch changes based on a single press to the Trim Pitch button. I would assume other Warthog Hotas Joystick users should be experiencing the same issue.
TCW_Brzi_Joe Posted June 29 Posted June 29 (edited) Keybindings problems; 1) the shift keys for bindings can not be joystick buttons, it must be keyboard key shift, ctrl, etc. I have a lot of hotas keys, and need shift key on hotas. 2) Secondary, the joy2key inputs are not recognised in Korea. That program can solve 1st problem + more. Why it does not work here? (ps; in BOS it works nice). EDIT; I FOUND IN GAME KEY MAPPING "Additional MODIFIERS buttons (SHIFT's)" - that is how to make shift key on joystick. But joy2key is not working .. Edited June 29 by TCW_Brzi_Joe found 1st answer

I have mine bound to the "flaps lever" on my Virpil Throttle MT-50CM2 and I have tried different planes with the same outcome. The following is with "Relative Control: Disabled", since I want the position of the level control the position of the flaps in-game. t's really hard to describe what happens since moving the lever doesn't really do anything until it suddenly does. Maybe at the end of the levers travel ?!. If I stop moving the lever it does nothing, the flaps go full down. Moving the lever up again does nothing, the flaps stay down. And if I then pull the lever all the way down the flaps start to move up until they are full up. This could off course be me that don't understand how this is supposed to work! Please advice. I unbound the axis to the flaps extend/retract control and instead bound the lever down motion to flaps extend and up motion to flaps retract (so I had axis -T and axis T). This seems to work. 1

JG14_Jagr Posted June 29 Posted June 29 Almost every flight at some point I Lose the ability to hit ESC and get the exit menu, or hit ENTER and get the chat menu. It works at first then stops. The TAB for command menu still works though. A couple of times the chat stopped working then started up again. I don't know if there is a key conflict that I have accidently pushed to make it happen or not. Its a pain to EXIT the game when you cant get the ESC menu up.
MajorMagee Posted June 30 Posted June 30 At least on my system, trying to turn on Formation Lights using the default Win + L locks my computer! Changed it to Win + Left Alt + L... JG14_Jagr Posted June 30 Posted June 30 When I fly missions at the start I can open the chat (ENTER) and send messages and hit ESC to get that menu. After some time flying the ENTER and ESC key no longer bring up the menu's. It acts like the Keyboard is dead, however, Pressing the TAB key still brings up the flight command menu without any problem. Its repeatable and happens every flight so far. Other than that everything is running smooth at 60fps when this happens and everything always works at the beginning.
Cadum Posted June 30 Posted June 30 I have a Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog. I attempted to bind a Throttle button so that I could raise and lower my Pilot view position. I found that I could do that with the Collie Button on the Front of the Throttle handle, but I could not do it by using the MIC switch on the right side of the Throttle handle. Seems that we should be able to raise and lower the Pilot Cockpit view by using other available button options for this particular widely used Throttle.
