Edited June 30 by Freddie
Blitzen Posted June 30 Posted June 30 Very small question(s.) I've ried unsuccessfully to assign zoom in and out on exterior views to my mouse.I need help figuring how to do so .Ditto adjustin the brightness of gunsight.I know the process, but haven't succeed in making my choice work in game...😶🌫️ CPU: i7-14700F RAM: iBuyPower 2x16GB 5200MT/s SSD: WD Green SN 3000 1TB NVMe GPU: Nvidia RTX 5060

wuVR Posted June 30 Posted June 30 (edited) When binding Zoom to any key it works at first, until i restart, then it still shows the binding but does not respond. I have to rebind Zoom to another hat/button and rebind, then it works again, feels like some read/write issue. Edited June 30 by wuVR
F1Boomer Posted June 30 Posted June 30 Anyone else having a issue getting the game to recognize a Thrustmaster Hotas 1?
MajorMagee Posted July 1 Posted July 1 It's one of their default options so it should at least partially work. Service To The Line, On The Line, On Time! 9800X3D, 64 GB DDR5, RTX 5070-Ti 1024 GB/s @ 2700 MHz 0.85V, Calibrated 8 bit IPS 3440x1440 @ 100Hz

JG14_Jagr Posted July 1 Posted July 1 I've tried several things, removed all the bindings and started with just the basics so there are no conflicts. When I take off I can open the Chat menu and send a message, sometimes only one. After that while the game still runs at a steady 59-60 fps with no stutters, I lose the ability to open the ESC menu of the Chat Menu. The weird thing is the TAB command menu still opens up normally. I also cannot open the briefing map (N) So basically most of my Keyboard is not working but I can hit TAB and get the command menu. Any ideas on things to try to fix it? This is very repeatable, in fact every flight. Also, typing in chat is active for mapped functions, ejected my canopy and myself a time or two. Plus, when I crash I end up looking at the ocean and the game just hangs. I have to CTRL ALT DELETE to end the task.
Fabry_ASW19 Posted July 1 Posted July 1 Hello everyone so far the game for me is running smooth and it looks really well refinished, but I do have one annoying bug: I mapped my Nav Map (the big one default key “N”) to the same Joystick button I have it on IL2 GB and when offline it works just the same, click once map is on screen, click it a second time map is off. Now if I fly online the Map comes up the same way but if I click the button again it doesn’t go off, I have to use the mouse and click on return to game on the lower left corner of the map window, doing this in VR and while flying at tree level is “not very convenient” how can I fix this? 2
belphegor Posted July 1 Posted July 1 (edited) No "fix" that I'm aware of, but you can either press Esc on the keyboard, or bind a button to the "Cancel/Exit" command, which is part of the in-game cursor control interface. I've actually found the in-game cursor controls to be pretty useful, I bound the TDC Ministick to cursor left/right/up/down, Ministick press to Accept/Enter, and pressing the hat switch next to the Ministick as Cancel/Exit. You can then run almost the entire game interface using only your HOTAS. Edit: This may be fixed now, the patch 0.002 that just came out says this: Added the ability to close the Briefing window in Dogfight and Co-op modes by pressing the N key. lefuneste Posted July 1 Posted July 1 hello, I don't know if the issue is in FM or controls, but the pitch FFB has something wrong. I'm using VPFORCE on a Rhino and I had to add a lot of friction/damper on Xaxis only in order to avoid a "bounce" effect on pitch, making very difficult any straffing.

I found that if I send the first chat message I cannot open the chat window again, however I moved the KP arrows up/down/left right I was able open the briefing map and use chat or return to the game and use chat once, then lose it again.. so is it a layering or focus issue with the windows?
LuftManu Posted July 1 Posted July 1 Hello team! Great work! I have found a game breaking bug for COOP mode GUI. When in coop mode, you cannot scroll down the availible slots, thus no more than 8 players can play at the same time. I attach an image. Thank you! 🙂 Spoiler Rig: RTX 5090 ASUS TUF / Ryzen 9850 X3D /Gigabyte X870E Pro X3D Motherboard / 48 GB DDR5 Teamgroup 8000 MT/s / MSI 321 URX QD-OLED 32" 4K
Chris455 Posted July 1 Posted July 1 Hello Gentlemen, I would like to report an anomaly regarding flap deployment: especially with the F-51D. I have a Thrustmaster Warthog throttle and Joystick. In all of my other flight sims (including BoX), I am able to successfully deploy flaps by binding the default in-game settings to my "FLAPS" lever on my Warthog. In the case of IL2: Korea these are CTL F =increment flaps down F= Flaps up/down SHF F Increment flaps up My problem is that upon programming these into my Wartie via the TARGET GUI, the sim responds by disregarding the modifiers completely. CTL F becomes simply F, SHF F likewise, etc. Even though when I check the Warthogs output using the Event Analyzer in TARGET, which shows the correct reponse, the sim continues to behave as if the modifiers are absent. Adding insult o injury is the fact that when using the plain old keyboard for an input, the sim reponds to these commands as it should. Incrementing flaps is critical for proper landing technique as well as combat maneuvering. The lack of this capability is a severe handicap. Any helpful advice would be appreciated- Chris
0 %. The information about starting the engine seems very incomplete. For example, it says about the MiG15 that it is enough to set the throttle position to 0%, and it is not reported that it is necessary to add the throttle as the start process is triggered. It's the same about American planes, only that the throttle should be 0%. Edited July 1 by Red_Dragon
JG14_Jagr Posted July 1 Posted July 1 So after this new patch just released I tested the menu's and found the following. If I open the Chat menu by hitting ENTER, type in a chat message and send it by hitting ENTER, the window closes and the message is sent properly. However, if I then try to reopen the chat menu by hitting ENTER, nothing happens. If I his the BACKSPACE to bring up the controls menu it works now (didn't before) and then without doing anything, I hit ESC to close the BACKSPACE menu, I can then hit ENTER and open the chat window and send another message. This is repeatable and appears different from when I tried it before this patch. Previously once the Chat window was gone and I could not open it the only menu I could bring up was the wingman command menu (TAB) I would have to use CTL ALT DELETE to close out the game. i5 14700 MSI RTX3070 8Gig 32 Gig System RAM

JG14_Jagr Posted July 2 Posted July 2 Question, just to make sure that I am not the problem here. In multiplayer I open the Chat window by pressing ENTER, it opens and I can type my message. I then hit ENTER and my message is sent and people see it. If I then hit ENTER again, nothing happens. The Chat window does not pop up (or at least its not visible on top.) Does everyone else get the Chat window to pop open when the hit ENTER and send messages with enter over and over? I'm trying to debug my issue and I'm trying to take the variable of my stupidity out of the equation 😉
JG14_Jagr Posted July 2 Posted July 2 Ok, fixed my issue. I returned all the Key bindings to default and it worked normally. I had previously assigned some of the relevant keys for ENTER and ESC to my TM Warthog HOTAS and despite the output from those buttons appearing to work fine, the game did not like it. So, it was an assignment issue apparently. Not sure if the game didn't like the keys being changed at all or if the TM product isn't getting along but regardless, its working now.
Czech693 Posted July 2 Posted July 2 Russian gun controls are not functioning as I expected. I set my gun controls as I have them in IL-2. Group 1 to the trigger on the front of the stick, Group 2 to the button on top of the stick (VKB Mk. IV with KG-12 grip). My results: Yak-9: On sim joystick, both trigger and button function, but reversed from my settings. i.e., my trigger causes the button to function, and my button causes the trigger to function. MiG-15: Both my trigger and button make the button function. Can't get the trigger to function on the MiG stick. La-11: Both my trigger and button make the button function. Can't get the trigger to function on the La-11 stick. IL-10: Both my trigger and button make the bottom button function. My bomb drop button makes the right button function. My rocket launch button makes the left button function. Since all the Russian aircraft have guns in both Group 1 and Group2, I was expecting them to have separate firing controls for each group. Are they not programmed to have two separate firing groups? How do I get the triggers on MiG-15 and La-11 to function? Is the IL-10 setup to fire both mg's and cannons with one button?
OAE Posted July 3 Posted July 3 I am experiencing an issue where my propeller RPM axis assignment on my Thrustmaster Warthog Throttle stops working after a while. While the "Boost / Throttle" axis assignment works perfectly and consistently every time, the RPM axis is unreliable. It worked fine during my first sessions, but the next time I launched the game, the RPM axis stopped responding entirely, despite still being mapped correctly in the settings menu. Chris455 Posted July 3 Posted July 3 As stated in the subject, cocjpit view displacement keys (PG UP, PG DN, INS, etc.) do not seem to be working currently. Is there something I should know or are others also having this issue? I think many players do not use these keys, but once you start using them they are indispensible to a feeling of "comfort" in the cockpit. Has anyone gotten these to work? Thanks, Chris
Remontti Posted July 3 Posted July 3 If you're using head tracking they do not work while tracking is active. Without head tracking they work without effort. It was same in IL-2 Great Battles. Here is what I did to make them work without pausing head tracking: Keep Keypad 5 (default view) pressed and then use those displacement keys. Save the new default position with F10 and release Keypad 5. You can use this method for all different snap views. If you're trying to do something else while using head tracking like trying to lean to the side with keyboard commands instead of real head movement then you're out of luck. Or you can go and edit your input files, remove trackIr doing certain things and write protect the file but I wouldn't recommend that.
Viking1 Posted July 3 Posted July 3 Mouse Binding Missing.. Somehow I lost my binding to the mouse in KOREA and I cant scroll any menus in the cockpit like Multimenu.. anyone know how I get it back? It does not pop up as an option when I try to bind it by moving my mouse...just sits there AWAITING INPUT

Best to look in your game/data/input folder, they're all text files, find the line and manually add them back, or delete and restart the game, but everything will be reset back to default. 1
