B34k Posted July 3 Posted July 3 Multiple Force Feedback Issues to report: 1. I can't use autolevel. I'm not sure what's going wrong, but every time I activate it, even if I'm flying level, it immediately pitches up, then tries to settle into level flight, but by then it's too late and autolevel is cancelled. If I had to speculate, I'd guess it's related to spring center is changing during auto-level, from a more forward position on most airframes, to true center. 2. Some FFB data is going to the wrong device. I have 2 FFB devices, Joystick and Pedals, Joystick is first in device order. Yet, it seems like some Y axis spring data is going to my Pedals (only) axis. The 2 I've seen so is force due to high G maneuvers (causes sharp left rudder, (force in negative axis direction), and spring strength due to airspeed (debugging shows this is applying to my roll axis, and pedals yaw axis, no data for joystick pitch axis). Oddly, other functions like pitch trim seems to be going to the correct device 3. Spring center moves during High G maneuvers. When I pull high G, In my FFB debugging app, see the spring center shift closer to the current spring position (e.g. If I'm pulling back with +Y direction, the center also shifts in the +Y Direction, similarly, when G is < 1.0, the center shifts in the -Y direction). This contributes to some intense pitch oscillations when coming out of a dive. 1
Uther Posted July 3 Posted July 3 When I turn the game on I have to set 'deadzone high' at 90% to get my throttle to go to 100% every time. It does not seem to remember the setting. 9800X3D / Asus Radeon RX 7900 XT TUF OC / Corsair Vengeance EXPO 64GB / W11

Jade_Monkey Posted July 3 Posted July 3 Jammed flaps dont show up in the Systems Menu (overlay with plane components and status). I would imagine that is not intentional and jams count as some sort of damage. AMD Ryzen 5800X3D | Nvidia RTX 4090 | 32 GB DDR4 | nVME SSD | VR headset: Pimax Dream Air SLAM
FuriousMeow Posted July 4 Posted July 4 On VKB Ginfighter I set the hat to be buttons. Reads as buttons in GB, but its seen as an axis in Korea. Its the hat below the red 'AP off' button. Occasionally it sees the button, but when assigning the opposite side it goes back to the axis. Axis T and P according to Korea, should be buttons 69/70 and 71/72.
Viking1 Posted July 4 Posted July 4 Third data point under TAKEOFF reads, "set the rudder trim to +6 degrees. Set the rudder trim from 0 to 2.4 degrees for a nose down attitude with a full rear fuel tank." I assume the latter should be 'elevator' trim. confusing..

Group 1 to the trigger on the front of the stick, Group 2 to the button on top of the stick (VKB Mk. IV with KG-12 grip). My results: Yak-9: On sim joystick, both trigger and button function, but reversed from my settings. i.e., my trigger causes the button to function, and my button causes the trigger to function. MiG-15: Both my trigger and button make the button function. Can't get the trigger to function on the MiG stick. La-11: Both my trigger and button make the button function. Can't get the trigger to function on the La-11 stick. IL-10: Both my trigger and button make the bottom button function. My bomb drop button makes the right button function. My rocket launch button makes the left button function. Since all the Russian aircraft have guns in both Group 1 and Group2, I was expecting them to have separate firing controls for each group. Are they not programmed to have two separate firing groups? How do I get the triggers on MiG-15 and La-11 to function? Is the IL-10 setup to fire both mg's and cannons with one button? Test firing the cannons on the La-11, the triggers appear to function correctly. Trigger fires left cannon, button fires center and right cannon, but visually they both operate the top button. Same goes for the MiG. IL-10 each controller trigger or button moves the single button on the yoke. Firing each Group switches the toggles on the lower right side of the panel, and firing both controller trigger and button together changes the switch settings too. Edited July 6 by Czech693
Voxman Posted July 9 Posted July 9 Not sure if this has been filed, or if this can be considered a bug, but when looking at the "Cockpit Layout" menu, and choosing a specific control, the indicated control does not show a device associated with it even though it's been programmed for it. Also, as a wish list item, if possible once the control is assigned, or not assigned, if it can be linked back to the "Settings" and control menu. Legioneod Posted July 14 Posted July 14 Anyone know if flaps can be bound to an axis? Im trying to map my flap lever to match the P-51 flap positions. Not sure if this is possible in game though. I have the Moza MTQ.
vampir0104 Posted July 14 Posted July 14 So far, the flight experience is perfect! However, within the menu after a flight my experience is stuttery at best. I go to move the mouse and have to anticipate the movement as my screen is maybe moving 10 FPS. I'm also getting a persistant warning of 'out of video memory'. My settings are as follow and my sim is set to mid-performence settings with 1080p resolution. lefuneste Posted July 14 Posted July 14 Hello, it seems there is an issue with the FFB and the trim. I can’t trigger the auto climb and it is very hard to maintain the auto lever, it always finished by disengagind and the plane is climbing brututally when auto level is stopped. I’m not the only one to have this issue...

Jorri Posted July 16 Posted July 16 I was flying on the beginner server by The Gang. The server description said unlimited ammo was off, but I could fire rockets and drop bombs endlessly and they would just respawn on my wings. It's a beginner server so I wouldn't be surprised if the unlimited ammo setting is in fact activated, and the server setting description is buggy. Otherwise it's a bug with ammo respawning but that seems less likely.
Motoadve Posted July 16 Posted July 16 I find No option to invert axes on brakes. There is no arrow or anything to invert them, so now I push brake pedal and it releases the brake and the brakes are on all the time if pedals are not pressed

SYN_Mugue Posted July 17 Posted July 17 Hello, I'm having some issues making rotary encoders function properly in game. I am using a couple of Derek Spears Design button boxes that have rotary encoders that I wish to map to the "axis trim controls" for use on the piston powered planes. The issue: In the GUI I can map the controls with no problem. But in game, the controls have no affect on the trim tabs or anything else, for that matter. When I look at the control knob in cockpit, I can see that there is a flicker of movement on the knob but it doesn't rotate. It just wiggles back and forth as if I've mapped both right and left key presses to the same button. Which I haven't. The problem is not confined to mapping axis controls. None of the commands respond properly in game to an input from any of my rotary encodes. I'm not sure how many milli seconds long the pulse is from my controllers(5 or 20ms?), but it feels to me as if the input is happening faster that the game can recognize it. Is there a way for me to adjust the polling rate of the game so it's able to detect my inputs?(if that is in fact the problem...I'm only guessing at this point) Thanks for all your hard work. Cheers, M.
Valis Posted July 17 Posted July 17 I often get a double mouse pointer. I don't use full screen, and I'm sure it's connected to Alt-Tabbing, but it's intermittent and I can't reliably reproduce it. 2
