Fabry_ASW19 Posted August 7 Posted August 7 Visual Navigation by Map only with some ADF aid and reasonably long flights are a great characteristic of Combat Box just like it was and is for GB nothing to change there. 3

Where can I find explanation about how to communicate appart from the chat ? Do i need to install SRS ? Noob over You can use either Discord or SRS. Dash,Polder Posted August 8 Posted August 8 It's really the mountainous terrain, but man I wouldn't trade it for the world. This is the absolute best map in any IL-2 version for fighting a war in. It's a breeze to navigate from altitude, but to low level it through the valleys following the notches and low cut passes takes some talent and experience. You really have to pay attention to sun positioning and have some recognizable land marks set as way points should your compass go haywire, like the F-80's is highly prone to do. These are anything but boring milk runs to target like it was in Great Battles. It takes some real team work to get there and back now. 3
Stoikiy Posted August 9 Posted August 9 unabe to connect on this server very often. Any reasons for that? 1

We have reported it to the devs.
Banzai Posted August 11 Posted August 11 Not really a complaint, more of a question. Why is the server 54 players only. Is it technical limitation or a gameplay related choice?

They are testing whether dserver can handle 64 players with their current missions. I already saw dsever messages about erratic behavior . 1
Fabry_ASW19 Posted August 14 Posted August 14 I've set a recurring monthly donation for Combat Box Patreon they certainly deserve it! Thanks for giving a Purpose to IL Korea for people that have zero interest to offline mode. 1
FlightBud Posted August 15 Posted August 15 Can anyone clarify if SRS works on this version of CB and what is the server to enter in SRS?
Haluter Posted August 15 Posted August 15 2 hours ago, FlightBud said: Can anyone clarify if SRS works on this version of CB and what is the server to enter in SRS? SRS works on both CB servers, and you don't need to enter the server address in SRS, it connects automatically when IL-2 connects to the server.
Mrpink7 Posted August 16 Posted August 16 some of the maps have too many spread out objectives for 50 players.. It is often 40m of flying to find 1 enemy

iflyflightsims Posted August 16 Posted August 16 Hello! I just wanted to provide feedback on the mission Advance to the North v0.4 on Combat Box. I came across a couple of bugs when playing this mission last night. The fires marking mission objectives were hovering in the air. At the Enemy Tank Column objective located at grid 2830, I destroyed an IS-2 tank. When it exploded, three turrets flew off instead of one. I was unable to replicate this on my own in a mission that I created, so I think it could be an issue with the mission file. Here are some attachments that you may find helpful. You don't need to manually add the telemetrydevice section if you're using the new Community Edition version (I've taken over the SRS project) https://github.com/riaanjutte/IL2-SimpleRadioStandalone Edited August 17 by Haluter
KoN Posted August 18 Posted August 18 Just flown your server. A few things I noticed only one airfield for USA this was bombed or two large creators in the middle of runway can not land or take off. Some one said some die on airfield maybe drop their bombs or they caused two large creators. I Can not see creators as not rendering in until last minute for me anyhow as VR not good in this game at the moment waiting for patch . Is there away to make Home Base not take damage so we can all take off and land. Or are we supposed to use small strip on landing. ?? As this will be hard to land on. Keep up the good work And can we have AAA please at airfields or at least close by. Players' are following you all the way back to airfields. 1 R5 - 5500X3D - ASROCK - B55O - RTX4070S - LEXAR - 48GB - PICO NEO 3 LINK DP.
Banzai Posted August 18 Posted August 18 (edited) I am not sure if this is mission/server related or game related. Why is there no notification on the map when there are enemy planes spotted near the airfields? This was present in GB and helped with avoiding airfields were enemy planes were camping. Currently common scenario is being attacked close to the airfield by Migs that intercept planes shortly after take off or on the way back. I know there is 5km no vulching rule enforced but being bounced 3 minutes after take off is not fun. Will EWR and GCI be implemented at some stage. This was one of the selling points/improvements of the sim, yet we seem to regressed to a point where there is no warning about campers at all. Edited August 19 by Banzai more questions 😉 1
KoN Posted August 19 Posted August 19 North Korea had two airfields. South only had one and this was 50% out of action due too one of the main runways being bombed or a friendly fire incident. There were only 7 players online, not sure what's happening here. If there is only one airfield guess where the enemy is going to be, With no AAA defending it and no ATC information about enemy close by than its a loose loose situation on a certain map. Yes of course check six over and over but when your lining up for a landing then shot down on your approach the player still gets its kill and you are still killed in action even with a 5km vulching kill zone. Question is there AAA defending the airfield like in real life or along the routes to airfields. R5 - 5500X3D - ASROCK - B55O - RTX4070S - LEXAR - 48GB - PICO NEO 3 LINK DP.

If the situation improves (AAA less resource intensive and craters on runways are only visual) we will of course go that route.

To be honest hardly anyone is using SRS, I was on today and no one spoke. Download the il-2 SRS and auto run it and will pick it up automatically. KoN Posted August 20 Posted August 20 This Server is eating my VRAM or should I say il-2 Korea is eating it up. I managed two missions and ran out of Vram a Error message top right in red pops up I had to restart computer. This Sim really needs some fixing. Question are the AF beacons working I followed mine in il-10 but could not see airfield flying around in circles. Lol. R5 - 5500X3D - ASROCK - B55O - RTX4070S - LEXAR - 48GB - PICO NEO 3 LINK DP.
