I have a screenshot of the reliability monitor at the time of the last crash though, I attached it here. I don't have the crashing issue when using TrackIR, it's only in VR. Sometimes it will happen when I'm leaving/entering a mission, and sometimes it happens while I'm flying around. Either way, it ends up making my entire PC unresponsive and the only solution is to hard reset it. Keyboard commands won't work, Youtube/Spotify stops playing, etc. My specs are technically under the recommended for VR, but not by much. I wouldn't expect to see my PC lock up so often due to my specs, and this is the only game it happens on. I play with a Quest 3 through Virtual Desktop. I'll try to play later and if I get a crash during a mission I'll upload the .Mission file. If your pc is somewhat under spec I would start by NOT running any other apps like YouTube or Spotify because they will use the CPU and fill your RAM. So that maybe your solution already.

I have a Quest, and after disabling the Toolkit, everything works fine in VR, no any CTD. There are many people here who fly on Pimax, and from what I can see, everything seems to be fine. Perhaps you're using some software or feature that's causing CTD? I finally found out what was causing the issue by creating a mini dump which identified a HID issue. I sometimes use a K63 wireless keyboard and although it was switched off the dongle was plugged in. Apparently the dongle wasn’t identifying itself which was causing IL2 Korea to hang while it was waiting for a response from the dongle. It didn’t affect any other game or IL2 Korea when not using Pimax Play but at least I could complete a mission now if I didn’t get shot down.

YoYo Posted August 5 Posted August 5 Post-release v1.01 test. Cities are still the worst element in terms of performance. I don't see any changes there. I also have the impression that something happened to airports; they're now heavier and load the computer more. There are also occasional micro-stutters when looking in different directions. Optimization is also needed here. I can always skip cities (like Seoul), but the airport should have maximum FPS. So there is still work to be done in terms of optimization. 2 Home cockipt: GPU RTX5090, CPU i7 13900, RAM 64Gb. | Webmaster of yoyosims.pl. VR flying only.
HarroK Posted Thursday at 08:39 AM Posted Thursday at 08:39 AM The main menu when using Quest 3 has wrong fov or ipd or something else. It feels like you're cross-eyed or opposite. Parralel-eyed?
TP_Sparky Posted Saturday at 09:10 PM Posted Saturday at 09:10 PM Pimax Crystal Super Micro-OLED, Winwing HOTAS throttle and stick, button box, other aviation controllers, I NEVER have used the hand controllers that came with the Pimax. I open IL2 GB fine, but, after a new Pimax Play update and a Korea update, when I open Korea it throws up a "controller not found" banner which goes away after a few seconds only to always reappear after a minute or two. I went int Pmax Play and set the device for "controller-less mode" to no avail. Alas! Unplayable. Pimax service center chat feature doesn't open a chat window. Suggestions?

Same here, it's like 20cm in front of me when recentering and if I move myself to look at it from a nearly 90° angle, it's at the exact same spot for both eyes, but one should be farther away from it. In the briefing, this gets worse as the menu spawns right at the headset location instead. Then in the sim all menus are locked to the headset and follow its traversing movement which is the worst. GB didn't do any of these things.

WildFire12 Posted Sunday at 04:07 PM Posted Sunday at 04:07 PM Not really sure on what I did wrong, not new to Vr but new running VR on pc. I tried to set up VR on my PC and every time I run IL2 Korea my VR headset does this. I have watch tutorials and what not and nothing i helping. I downloaded Virtual desktop since I heard great reviews on it but I just need help.

Dendro Posted yesterday at 11:05 AM Posted yesterday at 11:05 AM Does open composite work woth Korea....I recall seeing that it crashes the game which is what seems to happen to me? Can anyone confirm? I have a reverb g2 and 4080Super and 7800x3d. Must I use steamVR instead of WMR which is not supported anymore?

You have it in settings. BTW. Dont install OpenToolkit here = CTD. Home cockipt: GPU RTX5090, CPU i7 13900, RAM 64Gb. | Webmaster of yoyosims.pl. VR flying only.
Dendro Posted yesterday at 12:58 PM Posted yesterday at 12:58 PM OpenComposite with the OpenXR Toolkit seemed to give me decent frame rates.....that's a pity.
Nausea Posted yesterday at 05:43 PM Posted yesterday at 05:43 PM When launching IL-2 Korea in VR, I've noticed that its process priority is inconsistent. I've observed it launching at 'Normal', 'Above Normal', and 'Below Normal' across different sessions. Setting the process priority to 'High' manually via a custom shortcut fixed most of the VR stuttering. PC Specs: CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Driver: Game Ready 610.88 OS Version: Windows 11 10.0.26200 Build 26200 RAM: 64 GB DDR5 VR Headset: HP Reverb G2 (Oasis driver / SteamVR OpenXR runtime)

KoN Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago DLSS won't run if I downscale monitor resolution. In Great battles this is a must Running in VR. Seems GPU is running VR and a Fullscreen 2D game. There are only two setting that I can use for upscaling in DLSS with my monitor that's native and two below 1080 -resolution. My native resolution 1080 just to get DLSS to work. Fullscreen. ?? Will this be fixed. R5 - 5500X3D - ASROCK - B55O - RTX4070S - LEXAR - 48GB - PICO NEO 3 LINK DP.

There is no reason to reduce the 2D resolution when using VR, as the performance gain is negligible, if there is any at all.

Its not just that also I run apps in back ground XRNS ect. I want to have a smaller screen like GB and DCS . There is no need for Fullscreen in 2026. Also I do believe this put more strain onto the GPU. 1 R5 - 5500X3D - ASROCK - B55O - RTX4070S - LEXAR - 48GB - PICO NEO 3 LINK DP.

For sure there is a bug wich I reported that some resolution below native can't use upscaling. 1
Blitzen Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I flew the pre-release and had significant FPS loss in "cockpit" mode- about 30-36 depanding on landscape, and twice that in exterior views, down from 76+in Great Battles, but playable. Now with the open release that is down to 10+FPS ( again abot 20-30 in exteriorviews,) making thesim virtually unplayable no matter how many settings I turn of or down. I paid full boat for this sim and am tepted to ask for my money back...What can I do to get a playable fps rate? ALSO I'm using a MS FBB stickand am unable to get a smooth resposive flightat either setting- it feels a bit as if i'm on the end of an elastic string, much lie the initial problem I had with Great Battles years ago...
