Personally, I think there is room for improvement with the DM particularly the fire and smoke effects on damaged aircraft. Are these placeholders?

But what I really want to see is the DM of a breached dam and the water effects. I ain't seen nothing yet.

Gotta say, over all....this new game looks awesome. Can't wait!

I think the .50's do too much damage especially to the Mig-15. F-86 pilots made many comments that it was difficult to bring down the Mig-15 and were instructed to aim for the fuselage intersection where it meets the wing to do the most damage to the engine.  The rest of the game looks great but I hope later we get the B-26 Invader for ground attack.

That's my impression too. Considering the huge improvement in other visual aspects of the game, I think the special effects are not bad but I was expecting something better.

My brain is trying to figure out what I'm seeing here. How can a straight line of tracers generate a diagonal comb of smoke trails?

It's still too early, in my opinion, to draw conclusions on such a sensitive topic. I'd recommend giving it a few weeks and experiencing it firsthand rather than judging it solely from videos.

We've also become accustomed to rather underpowered .50 cals in Great Battles. Now we have the full package, with API ammunition properly modelled and a wider range of damageable systems. The .50 cals finally feel like .50 cals again 🙂

I wonder, has anyone already paid attention to the interactive instruments?)
And have somebody used gunsight with the radio rangefinder and automatic range input?)

Yes!! It's such a wonderful to interact with some instruments for navigation or even turn off the sight 😄 
Now I want to move the mirror in my car the same way as you do in the Mustang 😊

I've been really enjoying vicarious pleasure watching all of these people gradually discovering the team's work. So I've watched a lot of the videos.

Honestly, I don't think they've noticed the radar rangefinder yet! I think one or two might think it is active when it isn't.

I've been enjoying the configurable HUD and also often using different gunsight modes - but it is something that they don't seem to have been customising yet. However, I didn't know the mirrors were adjustable LuftManu - I'll have to experiment with that!

 

Perhaps the developers could partner with one of the video makers more closely to produce some tutorial videos showing off all of these features - or walking people through correct landing procedures etc? Maybe even make them into official video tutorials?

Yeah, I see remarkably little use of the on-screen menu or other new features. Apparently the content creators have been playing the game for 2 months or so, but the content so far is a bit shallow. But perhaps they are mostly aiming for a more casual audience.

I am of the impression that a lot of content creators have simply punched through the menus and started playing Korea 'out of the box' with whatever presets there are - especially true if they aren't even from an IL2/GB background.

Hello everyone,

I'm also a (little) content creators for IL-2 (Great Battles and Korea), and I've put together a VR video using a Pimax Crystal Super.

I thought some of you here might find it interesting!

The video includes both French and English audio tracks.

Hey guys! 

I was amazed again today by Korea. The amount of details is insane!  We are in for a great time 😎

I found out that Shermans have actually modelled their Stab so they can shoot on the move, whereas the T-34-85 cannot. Or that seems like! (Correct me if I'm wrong!)

This is awesome 1CGS!

The T-34 even had to move further as they don't have enough gun depression 😄

PS: Pay attention too to different sounds. Awesome. 

I find something new every day.

That's a lot of drift in a very short amount time.

It is out past the Mig-15 wingtip by the time the round is hitting the B-29 300m away.

5m / 1/3 sec = 15m / sec = 33.5 mph crosswind!

Nice video, thanks for that. Didn't tank commanders unbutton for situational awareness during engagements like this?

@KC23 I think that might be too much 🙂  But they do to man the machineguns and engage aircraft

However are there any videos of the sim running on anything other than a RTX 5090, 9800 X3D and 96GB RAM? I'm curious to see how the game runs on a more modest system (although I guess I'll find out tomorrow)!
