No matter where you go in the war zone, it's good to know the Jones brothers are there to meet and greet you, Larry and his brother Larry.  They are a bit intense though, think the war has them a bit jumpy.

The 80th MBS are sad to inform all of the loss of our XO Lt. Ramm on his 14th combat sortie. My heart sank when I heard the call on the radio during egress. We had just successfully completed our CAS mission North of Hagasan, and were regrouping as a flight to head back to home plate.  The flight was forced to watch in horror as he went down due to Communist AAA fire, praying for an ejection that never came.  All the men looked up to him.  He was tough as nails and already returned to duty from a previous combat wound.  It was an honor to fly with him in the 80th MBS.

Hi Easterling!

Not my issues. These issues are completely game related. A game, I paid for and therefore expect it to work properly.

Reported more then once. Ignored every single time and not solved as of today.

Below is how my game looks like today, version 1.003. With the "improved" HDR on btw.

So how I managed to produce an accaptable screenshot, you might ask?

Simple:

• I turn off HDR in Win 11
• Then I fire up the game (game looking aweful with HDR off, but it looks aweful with HDR on too, see screenshot)
• Once the mission is running or I entered a mp server, I carefully Alt+Tab back to Windows and turn HDR back on
• I then bring the game back up, which might crash in that very moment (happened multiple times)
• If it keeps running, I then open up my window and lowdly praise the gamemakers, ignoring all the people looking at me with a puzzled expression on their face
• And of course I open up Steam and write a very positive report on how brillant the game is too
• Then I unpause the game and try to find an interesting scene worth of all this. Only to enjoy a message saying "Not enough video memory"
• Brilliant. VRAM is 24GB btw

Managed to ditch my F80 after experiencing a non re-startable compressor stall.  I swam to shore!

I do wish that hideous score board could be switched off.  That doesn't belong on a sim, it's total War Thunder nonsense.

Major Randall of the 80th MBS had a close shave during his second sortie today, and 33rd overall since taking command of the 80th. The skipper was leading a flight conducting a strike North of Kanpa-ri.  The flight of 8 were escorted by F84's and got jumped by at least 6 Soviet built Mig 15's.  The skipper's aircraft was the only plane to sustain any damage during the tussle, and his men all made it back to their base at Suwan airfield.  "This is how to build an aircraft" he said, as pictured here admiring the battle damage on his F80 in front of the maintenance hanger. His metalsmiths smiled in the background after taking a look, and relished the challenge. They chuckled, and vowed to have her ready for the flight schedule in the morning.

Light battle damage.  Can't believe I landed her, throttle was stuck on the low end as well, had to cut engine on landing to slow her down all the way.
