I read the change Log it says: "Added new command variants for engaging and disengaging gunsight caging and radar" So I go looking in the keybindings Gunsight section .... dont see anything new there. So how about a hint !

kev2go Posted September 29 Posted September 29 (edited) From my limited testing F86a has been more resistant to wing rip now it was easy to rip when the aircraft by trying to overcorrect the nose up phenomenon when exceeding 0.90 mach even when your g limit did not exceed 7. now it it seems the sabre only rips when you yank back as hard as you can on the stick and force it to 11g. Awesome Edited September 29 by kev2go
Bert_Foster Posted September 29 Posted September 29 (edited) Thanks Vallis. Setting a Command in the Toggle section under Gunsight Cage on (Button push) works, so good for the F86 A1CM sight. Edited September 30 by Bert_Foster

I'm not aware of the K-18 ever having a rocket-firing mode with the F-86.
Bert_Foster Posted September 30 Posted September 30 No I was referring to the F51D .. that sorted now. (orig post edited)
Bert_Foster Posted September 30 Posted September 30 Looks like AI extra bar, Fuel Transfer sequence, Throttle twist grip and elec cage logic all sorted ... great job. 1
JG14_Jagr Posted September 30 Posted September 30 The F86A wing shedding is still way off from reality. The North American engineers initially put a 5G limit on the AC, then upped it to 7G's. This was the load limit where the wing structure could bend requiring repair. The Absolute load limit was 12G's This was the limit at which the wings could shear off. 12G's. I lost a wing last night between 5 and 6G's in a clean F86 with approximately 60% internal fuel. "Ultimate Load / Airframe Failure (~+10.5 G to +12.0 G): Military aircraft typically utilize a safety margin factor of 1.25x to 1.5x the design limit. The ultimate structural failure limit—where the wing spars physically snap or shear off—occurs between 11 G and 12 G." 1 4
Bert_Foster Posted October 3 Posted October 3 (edited) Tidying up the Sabre cockpit. A lot of things are automatically selected by the game engine however the Switch and lever positions should be displayed correctly and reflect the operational state. A couple of things to be tidied up. Cabin pressure lever at present is fixed in the OFF position, it should be placed in the forward ON position after start. Pitot heat is always in the OFF position. It should go to ON just prior to take off and back to OFF once you vacate the runway. Generator switch is always OFF with the guard up, should be ON with guard down. Emerg Ignition switch at present is always ON, It should be OFF with guard closed. This needs to dedicated Keybinding to allow in flight starts.... a good candidate for a Toggle switch keybinding Edited October 3 by Bert_Foster 1

My issue with g overload was mostly in dive conditions in prior patches. where if over corrected the nose pitch up at mach 0.90 id have wings rip. Under these dive conditions now it does not seem to rip unless I pull 11G which isnt really possible at mach 0.90-0.95 due to little pitch authority but once i slow down just enough i can yank the stick back and push to 11G before the wings shear off.

Awesome Nope - a slight movement and there go the wings. von Tom
Bert_Foster Posted 49 minutes ago Posted 49 minutes ago Using the systems menu overlay for G and steady symmetrical wind up turns I get wing snap at around 12.5-12.8G. I haven't tried Rolling G but (assuming its modeled) would expect damage at around 8-9G
