Would really only work in multiplayer where you could spot ground targets for other aircraft. It would have very little use in single player. I do think they is a place for them in the game, but something has to be created for them. Perhaps the ability to pick up troops or rescue pilots?

Helicopters would be a new thing altogether for the IL-2 dev team to work on. I'd like to see them try though.
