I had the same issue....might not be windows....it might be your browser. If your using edge open it up, click the three dots and go to settings, scroll to the privacy/security stuff, unclick all the safety download settings, download the exe, then turn it all back on again. That worked for me, reporting it as safe to MS did nothing

Finally got my PC to recognize the exe file after getting this: "Korea_IL2 Series_installer isnt commonly downloaded. Make sure you trust Korea IL2 series_installer.exe before you open it.

Click the ..., then press "keep", then press "delete" not "cancel", it then asks you if you want to keep it anyway. 

 

 

Download went smoothly from there.

I had the same problem. I ended up typing my username pw in notepad and ctrl c + ctrl v copying them in starting with the password. The inputbox doesnt like the @ char.

@FZG_immel I had the same problem. Try running the launcher as administrator. May have to run the "IL2Series" App. as admin. also.
