Could someone advise me whether these specs would match the games minimum requirements and if not where do they fall short? image.jpeg.ea7a8589416a80927f7fbef4816d4bfc.jpegrt? Thanks in advance.

Based on the published specs you should fairly comfortably he able to run 1080p but at higher resolutions both your cpu and gpu could struggle. You may be able to get to 1440p with dlss, but the 8gb of vram is going to require some sacrifices.

Also 512 ssd (i am assuming nvme? I hope) seems to be living dangerously.

That 8 gb vram might be of concern. That's why I stretched myself into changing the rig: 6600xt with 8gb.

looking at those incredible graphics shown in the blogs, I wonder if 8gb is enough without important sacrifice.

If this prebuild really suits you (good price, etc) i would check cpu and motherboard compatibility for a potential gpu upgrade in the future.

also there are some hidden things to consider like ram speed and latency

I'd also consider getting a more efficient power supply... getting a 'gold' or 'platinum' efficiency power supply will save you a little bit of money each year, and these higher quality power supplies also have a reputation for producing cleaner/more stable power (which modern video cards are very sensitive to).

Hi,

Just asking what I would expect the in-game performance would be with this hardware:

14900kf

64gb DDR 4

RXT 3080 10gb

4TB NVME SSD

4K monitor @ 60hz

Thanks

I'm pretty sure I don't need to worry, but just to be safe...

8 Gb Graphics Card no more than 2 generations old (RTX 3060 or RX 7600 level)

The part about being no more than 2 generations old made me want to check before I made a final decision about buying. I've got an RX 6950 XT, and while it is quite powerful in raw performance, it is still an RDNA 2 card. Should it be able to handle Korea fine (especially at 1080p)? Or is the game using new tech that needs a newer GPU?

Thank you! :-)

I would be shocked if you had any issues in 1080p

Game requirements are always a simplification. The only issue you should face is that FSR 4 won't be an option for you until early 2027.

Man, I'm glad I finished building my new rig last September and I feel sorry for those stuck with hardware that's two or more gen's older. My RAM kit now retails for nearly $1,400, my SSD $1,200, and my GPU is either $1,200 or now delisted due to demand for it's boost clock, and it isn't being produced for personal use. The consumer PC market has shrunk from 30% to something like 7% and is in the process of collapsing. The age of affordable PC building is over, gents.

EDIT - Gamers Nexus did a really great doc/investigation into this. Watch it if you get the chance, especially the interview with Rob Teller.

13700KF, RTX 5080 16 Go, 64 Go de RAM… et la mémoire est saturée. Le jeu saccade et un message d'alerte m'indique que la mémoire est insuffisante…La VR est très compliquée...I'm starting to regret it!!! 6 months of waiting for this!

Haven't seen that once.  Something must be misconfigured.  I'm still tuning and I forgot I had ASW always-on accidentally, but overall could tell I'm not far off.  Only thing right now is airfield textures not appearing until I'm right on top of them.

Hello !

I have this configuration

Intel Core i9 11900K

- 32 Gb ram @ 3600 Mhz

- SSD 2 TO nvme

- rtx 3080 10 Giga
- 1080p monitor

I succeed to have nice fps with msfs 2024 and dcs with high presets.
do you know how IL2 Korea will work and with which level of performance ?

thanks a lot

I've got a i7 11700K, 3080 10gb, 32 RAM DDR 4 @3600 Mhz and I'm running on a 3440x1440 resolution. I managed to have relatevely decent performance without DLSS and graphics on high. I haven't tried to fly over big cities yet though, but there is a setting to adjust that in case you run into some trouble. If you are on 1080p you should be fine.

It should run relatively well. Your rig is very similar to mine (except that I have more system RAM). I've been able to run it in 4k native by turning down some settings and in 1080p I suspect you should be able to get reasonably good frame rates (90 fps or more in many situations). We might not be able to run the most advanced lighting though - so things like seeing propellers reflected in the B-29 fuselage (ray tracing style effects)... but you can still get pretty good lighting.

I would recommend using a less demanding anti-aliasing mode though!

Don't. Obviously, since the game runs fine for chaps with 32 ram (you have 64!!!) your sistem doesn't use the ram properly. Or you have something HUGE eating up your ram. But I doubt that, since it's quite a slice to eat up.....

Most likely it's a windows/system issue. Steps:

- run a simple ctrl-alt-del /task manager/performance/memory/processes , to see what's eating up memory.

- sometimes there's an error of memory allocation by windows.

- my advice: describe the issue in detail to Gemini of Google. Will guide you to debug.

However, this problem of yours is NOT Korea related, with 64 GB ram you should be able to count the rice beans from the hole map ! 🙂

So, I’ve checked everything; it’s not a lack of system RAM—it’s the graphics card hitting 100% usage during gameplay. As a result, I get an "insufficient memory" alert. I’ve lowered every possible setting, but the message keeps coming back. I should point out that this only happens when I use VR. I’m going to try lowering the headset resolution, but it’s a shame, because I use this same setup for DCS, MSFS2024, and IL-2 GB, and everything works fine there.

What are your setttings? I have a 5070ti also with 16 gb and I have never gotten a memory warning while playing.

For the reference. I have i514600k, RTX4070 super OC, 64 GB of RAM, Nvme SSD 2TB and a 1440p monitor with Edtracker and game is super smooth most settings to high (SSAO off, MSAA 4x, no DLSS). In MP im mostly locked to 120 (my setting) and sometimes it get lower than that but not much.

@Spitfire1964 then in BIOS, there is an option that says

  • Enable Above 4G Decoding: Go to the Advanced, PCIe/PCI Subsystem, or Boot settings, find Above 4G Decoding, and set it to Enabled.
  • Enable Resize BAR: Look for Re-Size BAR Support or Resize BAR, and set it to Auto or On
  •  This will allow your RAM to be used as vram (video memory) in case of need
  • also try to close other apps that might use your vram

If you still get the insufficient memory error, contact support. It really should not happen with 16 gb of vram

  • 2 weeks later...

I have a i5 14700 32Gig RAM and a 3070 with only 8 Gigs VRAM and the game runs smoothly at medium to high settings with 4K turned off.  With 4K ON I would eventually get a VRAM warning message. I would think you would have no problems running it.  I have the FPS set to 80 and it stays pegged at 80FPS all the time
