Hmm flaps eh. I wonder if the Se5a has invisible flaps that deploy immediately and automatically when one initiates any climbing or turning manouvre resulting in an extreme reduction of momentum akin to flying through treacle. Those kinds of flaps you mean?

On the Sabre, the only cockpit management is throttle, speed and altitude.

Don't hit the big globe bellow, don't pull too much at high speed or the wings go elsewhere rather than where you're going to.
It is not too different than WWII birds in fighting, just less worry about the many radiators.

Isn't there constant mixture tuning on WWI birds? Korea jets have actually less cockpit management than that. 😄

There may be exceptions but generally speaking, Entente crates require mixture adjustment whilst Central Powers crates had auto mixture. So, for instance, flying an Alby is like flying a jet but without the rapid unscheduled disassembly of a wing due to careless g force management.

You either love WW1 planes, or don't  it's as simple as that. Albatros, Dr1 yes, Sabre no. Rise of Flight, yes, Flying Circus maybe.

Rise of Flight was like a revelatory religious experience courtesy of 777 and Neoqb. I still have the disc and box and cannot let it go. 🙂 It was probably the most anticipated title I have ever acquired and did not disappoint. She is legend. But the WW1 crates were a thing for me way before that. Jets, no. Maybe I've said that before. 😃

I am WW2 guy. Always been,  always will be. Korea looks cool. I will eventually buy it, though.
