That is very low, I think comfortable minimum as GPU goes is a 5070ti. I can run Korea at 72hz with quest 3 without reducing resolution, just cutting my vertical and horizontal fov. Only in CPU hogging situations I see my FPS goes below 72 Hz like cities, zooming at objects on airfields or other players planes, having grass on airfields, meeting huge AI bombers formation.

GiftGruen Posted July 20 Posted July 20 The cockpit is not the problem. It does not change over cities and is fluid high up. 1 Rig - RTX5090 + i5-14600KF + Pimax Dream Air Content - Flying Circus 1-4 + IL2-BoX ( all sceneries ) + IL2-Korea
BlitzPig_EL Posted July 20 Posted July 20 Read what he said... In external no problem, in the cockpit, framerate drop. It's because his computer cannot handle both the cockpit and the flight over the city. It's additive. His rig can do one or the other, but not both. 2

It never occurred to me that the cockpit was such a huge load. 😮 Gigabyte Aorus Elite Mobo. No mods. AMD 9800X3D CPU. No mods. RTX 5090 GPU. No mods. 64GB G-Skill RAM at 6000mhz. XMP on. Samsung SSD. Monitor at 3840x2160. Pimax Crystal Super.

I have some doubts that it‘s so easy that you can just add the ‚single loads’ but of course cockpit detail level plays a role for fps. Well. This is interesting question and I‘ll do some experiments with this 🙂 Rig - RTX5090 + i5-14600KF + Pimax Dream Air Content - Flying Circus 1-4 + IL2-BoX ( all sceneries ) + IL2-Korea
Gunfreak Posted July 21 Posted July 21 Yeah no, the cockpits are better than GB, but still several levels below DCS. There's no reason Korea cockpits should demand so much power.

I personally find them a bit superior to the Mi-24P and Su-25T etc.
Dash,Polder Posted July 21 Posted July 21 Probably has shadows on too, they're a huge hit even turning them on in the hanger while bench marking, which is crazy. Every level of shadows does the same hit, hopefully fixed in the patch, we'll see.

Also, DCS cockpits don't use PBR textures, Korea Mig15 is better that DCS one IMHO

Just that the graphics doesn't warrant any major drop in preformance.

And about the price per module: make informed comparisons or don't make them at all, they just add to the confusion. Edited July 22 by Picchio
pr0x Posted July 25 Posted July 25 Roughly 85% of the VR performance "issues" summed up: Hey, I bought this $2000k headset from Pimax and the 5090 to go with it, I am running 16000x16000 pixels with no DLSS, and I can't even get 90 fps stable, even though I get 120 fps in a game from 2013? Sadly, there is a PIMAX headset pictured in this blog post, so the devs are kind of asking for it. 1
GiftGruen Posted July 25 Posted July 25 I dont really understand what you want to tell us with this ‚nonsense‘ post, sorry. 1 Rig - RTX5090 + i5-14600KF + Pimax Dream Air Content - Flying Circus 1-4 + IL2-BoX ( all sceneries ) + IL2-Korea
