@Jade_Monkey

There was nothing wrong with your mission logic, only your real world logic.

You can't hear a radio message broadcast when your engine is shut off. The radio does not work.

🤔

Oh god, the amount of time i wasted making tweaks in the editor and loading the game again to test them in order to make it work 😭

Been there done that, LOL. I spent 2 days trying to figure a problem out once, turned out the arrow from a trigger to the timer was linked the wrong way.

Does anyone know if there's a system to the voices used by AI aircraft?

Meaning: is there a way to have the voice of scripted dialogue match up with automatic ones from a specific AI plane?

On this note, I was wondering if the radio needed to be set on the correct channel as well, for instance when talking to the radar controller.

There is no voice assignment dialogue I am aware of if that is what you were hoping for. It seems random, but I have not really tracked it to see if there is any pattern. I know the assigned voices change from one mission to another, but they seem to stay the same if you replay a mission. I think the only way to match the voice to a plane or a FAC is just by ear with trial and error. There are only 8 voices for each language so it’s not too hard to narrow it down.

For speeding things up you can fire first the game, and then the editor.

You can have both at the same time and change things, load again the mission to check.

Yes! That is a game changer for sure!

Hi guys, I think there is no way to mute the AI planes (enforce radio silence), or is there? I fancy a friendly fighter NOT calling out an enemy plane as he's commencing to dogfight it..

You could try to give it an invalid callsign, although I'm not sure what would happen.

Thanks but even if it worked, it wouldn't be exactly what I have in mind... But I hope the devs will add this possibility, as you have suggested!

There's another way that may or may not work. In GB, I used to do this by changing a plane's nationality to the WW1 nations, that I put in the WW2 coalitions (the WW1 nations don't have radio). You can change a plane's coalition runtime by using the Command:Behavior MCU.

Of course, there's no radio-less nations in Korea, but you could use text editing to change an aircraft's country into a fictional number, that you also define in the coalition list. Either the game will crash, or you'll have the behaviour you want.

EDIT: or use the "Neutral" country, and put it in your player's coalition. That's probably easier.
