Hey everyone!

A new patch for Korea. IL-2 Series is now available.

This update includes fixes and improvements across multiple areas of the game, including aircraft, effects, interface, controls, localization, sound, and multiplayer.

Nice. Was Sabre breaking wings too easily fixed? I don't see it in the patch notes. 

As per Gavrick, Sabre has not been updated yet.

Great, thanks! But the request to make IPD +/- work in VR (OpenXR), unfortunately there is some bug and this function does not work, and the cockpits are too small, which has already been reported.

Starting the game doesn't auto-update.

Hello!

Please use the launcher. It should pick up the new update and do it automatically 🙂

I had that issue when there is an IPD missmatch between two tools like (Pimax play vs Sboys3 driver).

Depending on what software you are using, make sure they all have the same IPD set. Hopefully that helps!

Im using Meta. This is not a compatibility issue, it just doesn't work here under OpenXR.

After some testing it appears that Sabre's durability improved. I was able to pull around 9 Gs in most speeds and initiate and complete a loop. Previously wings would snap at around 7 Gs shortly after I pitched the nose. It is possible to maneuver at high speeds now. 

whew! great to hear.  I won't be able to fly until tomorrow.  glad it's working better for you (and the rest of us).

After the update my AI wingmen in the Yak-9P now get constant engine failures. I reported it here:

Ya, in the exam mission, P-80 vs Yak, both times the Yak pilot has bailed out with his prop static.

Gigabyte Aorus Elite Mobo. No mods.
AMD 9800X3D CPU. No mods.
RTX 5090 GPU. No mods.
64GB G-Skill RAM at 6000mhz. XMP on.
Samsung SSD.

Monitor at 3840x2160.
Pimax Crystal Super.

It would be good if patches were released weekly. As you can see, EA's release brought quite a few issues to fix (new or old, I dont know), ranging from FM, minor bugs, optimization issues in VR, planes bouncing unnaturally, and so on. There's very little time left until August 4th, so this locomotive has to keep rolling. I can be a "tester" during that time, even though I paid for it ;), but I'm committed to help resolving the issues. Without weekly patches, it's impossible to provide good feedback. 👍

I didn't flown yak after patch, but with engine mengment technique - prop on top ?

I think autoruder is permanentny enabled. Check rudder indicator it moves without user rudder input. All helpers off.

I imagine the patches will come thick and fast between now & release, probably as soon as they're ready

Yes, it is on for me too, while i didn't enable it.

The VKB STECS Input Map - as mentioned in the release notes - is missing.
