Talisman Posted July 19 Posted July 19 Cockpit clock hour hand and minute hand appear to be stuck on number 6. Only the second hand is moving. Hope this fault can be fixed as I need the clock working properly for navigation. 👍 Thank you and happy landings, Talisman
Bumfluff Posted July 20 Posted July 20 Question - I have the throttle and rpm all the way forward but I’m being told I’m only at 75 per cent power. What gives?
AndreiTomescu Posted July 20 Posted July 20 (edited) Rpm is actually a pitch control. To much coarse pitch and the engine cannot reach full rpm, the propeller drag is too high. If you put throttle to max and play with the pitch (the 109 is perfect for that) you will see power in technochat and also the engine rpm needle to decrease as the pitch goes higher (coarse). Like in a car: if you put the gear into 5th gear while running al 40 km/h, the engine rpm will go down and you won't be able to accelerate My guess is either go with automatic rpm/pitch, or lower the pitch as desired Edited July 20 by AndreiTomescu 1

I remember others also having hands pointing to 6. Maybe it's an EA issue. Home cockipt: GPU RTX5090, CPU i7 13900, RAM 64Gb. | Webmaster of yoyosims.pl. VR flying only.
Dash,Polder Posted July 20 Posted July 20 G meters aren't finished either, the negative G recording needle isn't functional yet.
SYN_Mugue Posted July 21 Posted July 21 A small quality of life improvement request: Could we get the in cockpit elevator trim position indicator arrow, painted white? It appears black to me and is very difficult to determine what position the tab is in. Thanks for your consideration. Cheers, M. 3
Valis Posted July 22 Posted July 22 We can hear the NDB morse codes and I don't think we should, not having any ADF equipment. Also, the horizon cage/uncage appears to be reversed. The horizon is free to move while the caged flag is showing, and locked in place when the cage flag is hidden.

You have an NDB receiver down by your right rudder pedal, but yes, you don't have an ADF. In this instance, you're mainly relying on the strength of the signal to home in on the station. The other issue has already been noted, thanks. 🙂 1 1

Uriah Posted July 22 Posted July 22 In key assignments, under WEAPONS AND SIGHTS there is "Inp:rc_power_F51_mod!LOCALIZE!". What is that? I hunted in the manual but gave up.

YoYo Posted July 24 Posted July 24 I checked Emergency mode, and now the engine fails after about 5-6 minutes. So, that's a change, here the issue was solved. I still need to check the Combat mode time, I'll let you know. Home cockipt: GPU RTX5090, CPU i7 13900, RAM 64Gb. | Webmaster of yoyosims.pl. VR flying only.
YoYo Posted July 25 Posted July 25 Today I checked Combat mode and it's fine too, about 16.5 minutes before the engine failed (12k). So the issue is fixed, thank you! 1 Home cockipt: GPU RTX5090, CPU i7 13900, RAM 64Gb. | Webmaster of yoyosims.pl. VR flying only.

With what prop setting? Sometimes that will make a fairly large timing difference, lower RPM settings in combat extend the time with pretty much the same speeds if you already are fast and straight lining it.

I suspect its the same in Korea as in GB where you lower rpm a bit and it drastically increases engine timers. At Combat mode - 3000RPM/61 MP, 12000ft, about 350 MPH IAS. Before patch 003, the engine lasted about 5 minutes. YoYo Posted July 28 Posted July 28 Request to re-verify the shock absorbers on the F-51D. After patch 003, I feel the ground-holding problem has returned. During the take-off roll, the unevenness causes the plane to literally launch into the air, 1-2-3 meters. Airport K-49, unpaved. Before 002, everything was fine for me and there were no problems. Maybe some old code crept in? Home cockipt: GPU RTX5090, CPU i7 13900, RAM 64Gb. | Webmaster of yoyosims.pl. VR flying only.

Civilprotection Posted July 29 Posted July 29 Possible bug for the 51, or with fire effects. I got hit by flak and a fire started (I think). I flew around on x8 speed for a while, and called it quits when I didn't explode. even the fuel leaks stopped after not too long, and without emptying. The fire in 1st person never extinguished Anyway, I figure there is a problem here. idk how easy it is to reproduce though
AndreiTomescu Posted July 29 Posted July 29 wow. in the pictures you can actually see the ammo rounds on their belts !!!
Valis Posted July 30 Posted July 30 The carb temperature needle rarely gets into the green, and by 10,000ft it cannot even maintain yellow. I don't think there's any damage happening so it might just be a mis-calibrated needle(?)

Mark_Krieger Posted July 31 Posted July 31 I know that fuel management system control by the pilot will arrive later and that now it works automatically. Yesterday in the career I noticed that when I choose 40-50% fuel load there's still about 10 gallons left in the rear deposit and was still used later. I think that deposit is suposed to be the first to be emptied but perhaps there's some explanation that I miss.
