Xtremist Posted June 25 Posted June 25 It looks weird when you turn on the automatic rpm limiter, and set full throttle, the pilot's hand is shaking with the throttle lever like Muhammad Ali's in his last days. 1
Turbo-Mouse Posted June 26 Posted June 26 How do you taxi or take off in this without it instantly spinning out or pulling to the left? I have done what it says - opposite rudder - it doesn't do anything - spins round. softly applying power - doesn't do anything - spins round. I can manage F-51 and Yak-9P take-off and landing.

You need to pull back on the stick - this locks the tailwheel in place. Then gradually push the throttle forward. I actually find it a lot easier than the Yak-9P. 1 1
Turbo-Mouse Posted June 26 Posted June 26 (edited) How do you turn to the right, when taxiing? I can now go in a straight line or turn left (by carefully unlocking tail wheel temporarily). I can sort of do it by pressing the brake and pulling to the right, but it feels cumbersome. Edited June 26 by Turbo-Mouse
Big-Al Posted June 26 Posted June 26 Is it intended that the techno chat is not showing anything about the state of the mixture? The only way to have a look is with the overlay menu where the mixture could be as low as zero - with no consequences. For context I played on full realism without any helpers active.

It is wrong, because the mixture should be automatic. It should be removed from the menu. I already reported it on the bugs. I also I'm not able to change the giroscopic gunsight mode. Also reported as bug. 2 CPU AMD Ryzen 7800 X3D, GPU AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX, RAM: 64 Gb DDR5, VR Headset: Quest 3.
Sketch Posted July 3 Posted July 3 (edited) Problem: When selecting the upgraded gun sight modification on the LA-11, the player does not get that gun sight enabled when spawning in. Expectation: When selecting the upgraded gun sight modification on the LA-11, the player should get that modification when spawning in. EDIT: This problem persists for all available mods. If locked mods are enabled on the server, then the available mods can be selected in the menu, but are not available to the player when they spawn in. Edited July 4 by Sketch

funwolfe190 Posted July 6 Posted July 6 What is the actual reason for having a solid metal plate above the gunsight on the La-11, where previous Lavochkiins did not have it? Could we get an La-9 cockpit as modification so you can actually see the target you are pulling into? 2

2 1 Lead engineer

I can’t really imagine how, in my right mind and hard memory, it was possible to block the view with the mounting plate of a photo-film machine gun (!!!) - but what is, that is... Was this also true of the La-9?
ZYSS Posted July 10 Posted July 10 (edited) These photos are from Chinese air shows and museums, where the PLAAF insignia is noticeably smaller than in the game – it looks more attractive and better proportioned. Also, the nose does not carry the Russian ‘La‑11’ lettering; instead, it is either left blank or marked with numbers. Edited July 10 by ZYSS 1
toby23 Posted July 12 Posted July 12 I have tried to move the pilot cockpit position (non-VR) using the default keybinds but nothing happens. Is this not implemented yet or am I doing it wrong?
Jorri Posted July 12 Posted July 12 The plane does not have mixture control. There's no control assigned to it in the virtual cockpit, nothing moves when you use your mixture controls, and the technochat doesn't say anything either. The in-game tips still tell you to correct your mixture. And when you open the multimenu, you will see the mixture graph responding to the mixture control.

Press and hold NUMPAD_5 Adjust your position with Delete, Insert, Home, End, Page Up & Down keys Adjust FOV with NUMPAD + and - When happy hit F-10 to save ....and then release NUMPAD_5 That should work. Is it possible to disable the 'inertia' movement where the camera moves up and down as you pitch? I want to lock the camera position in place and only use head tracking to look around. If you watch this, the plane is much more stable as well, no bobbing around on pitch input. Sorry, I know this is the P51 in the LA11 section.. Edited July 13 by toby23
Valis Posted July 13 Posted July 13 59 minutes ago, toby23 said: Is it possible to disable the 'inertia' movement where the camera moves up and down as you pitch? I don't think so. I don't like it either. Not because I don't want realistic head movement, I do, but because I think they're going about it in the wrong way. I think a better effect would be to have the pilot's view sink lower under G-Load (or rise under negative G). The pitching effect is there to simulate that...but it's a bit iffy. (It's much worse in GB IIRC) 1
Husar Posted July 13 Posted July 13 (edited) The in cockpit movement is to restricted in all directions. More sinking to bottom is bad idea. Options to prevent it doesn't work now in EA . Edited July 13 by Husar 1
