Uriah Posted June 10 Posted June 10 After bailing out, is there a way to spectate from the pilots point of view (pov)? It seems to me that after bailing out my point of view is external looking at my plane. I would like the ability to continue to look from the pilot's pov 2
Vendigo Posted June 10 Posted June 10 Yes, and also - I would love the ability to steer the chute! My single player campaigns: "Fortress Stalingrad" "Hunter in the snow" "Battlefield Kerch" "Ruspoli at the gates of Odesa"

They weren't really that steerable in the 1940s. 5 hours ago, Uriah said: After bailing out, is there a way to spectate from the pilots point of view (pov)? Was there? I missed it!? If anyone can find it - I'd be interested. There was a bug at one point that allowed a first person bailout... clipping through the 3d model etc. (definitely not releasable)... but it still made it a lot more intense!

Dash,Polder Posted June 10 Posted June 10 I'd love control over the rip cord, the way it was for manual bail.
FuriousMeow Posted June 10 Posted June 10 If this were developed, it would be really nice to be able to unholster your pistol to take shots at nearby enemies while floating to the ground. Aces High had this feature and could be entertaining. 1
FuriousMeow Posted June 10 Posted June 10 (edited) A pistol round at the right spot absolutely would. These planes aren't armored vehicles. Also, already have pistols they are just limited to in the cockpit and I've gotten a shot into a radiator before causing it to leak. And there's this... https://www.americanrifleman.org/content/aerial-gunfight-shot-down-by-a-45/ The 2nd Lt Baggett shoot down of a Zero is questioned, but supposedly happened too. Czech693 Posted June 14 Posted June 14 You can steer the parachutes. You just pull down on the shrouds to tilt the canopy in the direction you want to go. Not as efficient as having steering toggles, but still works.
