I can't get 'Engine Shake' to work with my HF8 in IL-2 Korea and would like to know if anyone else is having the same problem or not. I notice that the latest update 0.004b to IL-2 Korea made the change listed below and wondered if a telemetry change involving rpm might be causing the problem? Engine RPM and boost pressure data have been restored to telemetry output. Telemetry data since Korea update 0.004 is probably still not quite correct if you don't have the effect working. I've adjusted my code in SimShaker Wings v. 2.27 too in order to bypass this issue, but it's not published yet. Work in progress. BTW the beta version of Korea is not affected.

Big thank you for such a speedy reply Andre 👍 SimShaker is brilliant! 😊 I would not want to fly without it. I very much look forward to your next publication of SimShaker. Thank you again. Andre Posted August 4 Author Posted August 4 (edited) Hi guys, you can download the latest SimShaker Wings version 2.27 with this link. It should fix the issue with the missing Engine Beat (Shake) effect. Happy flying! BTW, automatic download and update is also available in the Wings Launcher Automatic update section if the checkbox Check for Updates is marked since version 2.26. SimShaker Wings 2.27 Changelog 04 August 2026, Tuesday Fixed: an issue with the missing Engine Beat (Shake) effect in the latest IL-2 Korea version (fix 0.004b); Added: more options for the Engine Beat (Shake) effect for IL-2 both GB and Korea; Added: the Preset Master Volume slider. Reworked: the Main SimShaker Wings window. All the controls from the Game Specific tab moved into the General Settings tab (directly into the tab or in the More Options menus). The Game Mode Selector moved from the Advanced Settings tab into the General Settings tab. Improved: the More Options window. Edited August 4 by Andre 3

Great job on the update Andre 😃 Especially the new engine beat rpm and engine shake options 😍 Fantastic! The aircraft in this simulation really come alive with SimShaker and add a huge amount of immersion that is on a level with VR and FFB in my view. Big thank you! Happy landings, Talisman 1 2

MNTimBuktu Posted August 7 Posted August 7 Does anyone have settings they like for IL2: Korea? I'm having trouble finding a good balance of everything with a single buttkicker.

I'm having trouble finding a good balance of everything with a single buttkicker. Hello MNTimBuktu, I don't use a butticker, but I do use SimShaker with a standard HF8 Haptic Feedback Pad. My current settings are as follows: Engine Beat = 65, new options rpm factor = 24.52, engine shake = 20.95, reduce when airborne = 25 (HF8 extended settings Base Amp = 135). Landing Gear = 65 (HF8 extended settings Base Amp = 225). Flaps = 45 (HF8 extended settings Base Amp = 245). Speed Air Brake = 85 (HF8 extended settings Base Amp = 100). Ground Bumps = 85 (HF8 extended settings Base Amp = 225). Gun Fire = 25 (HF8 extended settings Base Amp = 210). Payload Discharge = 90 (HF8 extended settings Base Amp = 225). G-Force = I Do not use this, so it is turned off. Stall/Aerodynamic Shake = 35 (HF8 extended settings Base Amp = 150). Damage = 60 (HF8 extended settings Base Amp = 225). Pitching Motion = 18 (HF8 extended settings Base Amp = 225). Rolling Motion = 14 (HF8 extended settings Base Amp = 225). Hope this might help. Happy landings, Talisman 1
Varibraun Posted August 15 Posted August 15 Hi @Andre. I am testing the new IL-2 Korea support and first just want to say THANK YOU for everything you have done and for the new features that I am trying out. However, I have a question about UDP port forwarding in SimShaker Wings with Korea (which I have been using for years from SimShaker to Sim Racing Studio (SRS) running my DOF Reality P4 motion rig). This is what I tested: IL-2 Korea sends telemetry directly to SimShaker on 29373 → SimShaker works correctly with your Sound Module/Buttkickers and JetPad. SimShaker is set to forward UDP telemetry to 127.0.0.1:4321, where Sim Racing Studio (SRS) is listening → SRS does not receive usable telemetry/move my DOF Reality P4. This same SimShaker port-forwarding setup does work correctly with IL-2 Great Battles: SimShaker receives the GB telemetry and successfully forwards it to SRS on 127.0.0.1:4321, which operates my DOF Reality P4. As a test, I changed the IL-2 Korea startup.cfg so Korea sends telemetry directly to both programs: SRS: 4321 SimShaker: 29373 With this configuration, both work correctly at the same time: SRS moves the P4 and SimShaker operates the Buttkickers/JetPad. (This would be fine, but I need to add a 3rd device with my VPForce Rhino FFB, so I still need port forwarding). Could you please confirm whether SimShaker's UDP port forwarding is currently expected to work with IL-2 Korea telemetry, or whether the forwarding function needs an update for Korea? Thank you!

Hi Varibraun, Thank you for reaching out. I think I haven't touched this part in the latest version and I expect it to work as it used to be with IL-2 GB. I will check it on my end following your feedback. As a quick aid, based on the IL-2 telemetry confiig rules, I'd recommend you to try out in Korea startup.cfg a construction like this [KEY = telemetrydevice] addr0 = "127.0.0.1:29373"// for SimShaker Wings addr1 = "127.0.0.1:4321"// for SRS addr2 = "xxxxx:yyyy"// for VPForce Rhino FFB, where xxxxx - IP address required, yyyy - port requried. decimation = 2// or 1 if required a higher send frequency enable = true [END] 1

I will give this a try this weekend and report back (I seem to recall adding the 3rd address did not work with GB, but hopefully with the Korea upgrade it will).

Youtch Posted August 27 Posted August 27 (edited) Hello Andre, I struggled to find how to access in the new version the new option in IL2-GB for Engine such as Engine Beat, rpm factor, engine shake, reduce when airborne. I found it when clicking on the very discrete more Options. Could you explain better what each of these new effect do exactly? Many thanks in advance, y. Edited August 27 by Youtch

Hello, Not sure what you mean under "the very discrete". English is not my first language, sorry. Regarding the options in that menu: Engine RPM Factor - Represents the RPM factor (ENG_RPM/RPM_MAX ratio) for the Engine Beat effect. 0% - RPM is not taken into account, 200% - RPM is taken into account very much. Engine Shake Factor - Represents the shake factor (ENG_SHAKE_AMP) for the Engine Beat effect. 0% - shaking is not taken into account, 200% - shaking is taken into account very much. Reduce when airborne by XX% - Reduces the Engine Beat effect when airborne (10+ m AGL). 0% - no reduction, 100% - no effect when airborne. ENG_RPM, RPM_MAX, ENG_SHAKE_AMP are variables exposed by the game in the telemetry output. Hopefully this helps. Edited August 27 by Andre 1
