I was wondering where these two chaps went, I didn't see them collide until spectate mode! 

By the way I tried MicroSoft Flight Sim today and I hate it lol.  The whole thing is way too slick, and feels completely soulless and sterile, a corporate focus group product, just like you'd expect from Microsoft.  Especially after the grit and grime, Man vs Man, aerial bar fight of IL2 lol.

By the way... My ideal sim is - the earth from MSFS 2024, clouds and light from X–Plane 12, physics and damage model from Il–2, 3D-model details and a clickable cabin from DCS

Agree!  I would add War Thunder for selection of aircraft.  I started with that sim, but quickly grew frustrated with the quest system of advancing to more interesting airplanes, and the incomprehensible mission planning interface.  Plus the landscapes are cartoonish.   IL2 is the best overall.

As for the number of aircraft, I would say without a shadow of a doubt Il2-Sturmovik46 BAT, perhaps over 1500 aircraft... 😁😉

Sorry, no.

The earth in MSFS is bad, just generated from satellite pics. Go low level flying over a handcrafted map like Normandy 2.0 or Cold War Germany in DCS and You will see the difference.

And by the way, if I want real weather I open the door and go outside.

I admit, I don't like the Microsoft "Bug" Simulator.

Fellas I'm back, barely.  Computer crashed! 

High above the shattered fields of France, Lt. Karl Voss was alone. His squadron long gone, a lone Sopwith Snipe had stalked him for kilometers— now its twin Vickers were locked on his tail. Voss yanked the stick hard, throwing his Albatros into a violent split-S that screamed at the edge of the envelope. Wings groaned. The world spun. Tracer rounds whipped past like angry hornets. One mistake and it was over. But Voss wasn’t done yet!
