F-51D SAAF Series Expansion and Rework Soon

First, I want to thank the IL-2 community for the incredible support you’ve shown since the release of my original SAAF series.

Thanks to your feedback, constructive criticism, and historical research, what started as three skins has now grown into a collection of 7 SAAF F-51D skins, with new and refined details and a more historically accurate lineup.

Joburg Juggernaut and Cape Town Connie return with reworked details, while Springbok Special has been retired and replaced by three historical orange-nose variants: SHERDANOR, MISS MARUNOUCHI, and MY BOY.

The collection also includes two completely new liveries featuring distinctive red and yellow noses.

Across the series, I’ve also refined the roundel sizing and colors, improved the MRR files to reduce excessive reflections on red and orange paint, updated the No. 2 Squadron “Flying Cheetahs” emblem, corrected the rainbow nose art alignment, and cleaned up inconsistent wear marks.

The goal was not simply to add more liveries, but to make the SAAF collection more consistent, polished, and historically representative.

The time you spent tweaking these have really paid off - looks like you resolved the roughness/metallic issues. I always liked the 'SHERDANOR' and 'MISS MARUNOUCHI' schemes. The 2nd Squadron insignia still feels like it is sitting a little too high. The top of the flying cheetah wings do not touch the imaginary line drawn in line with the exhaust - it maybe touches the line on the bottom of the exhaust assembly. It is very close however.

Can't wait to fly with these colours!

Your Feedback along with many others have shaped the series. Criticisms like this bring much needed changes and I thank you for it. Also the SAAF emblem wings had been hand drawn and photoshopped. I tried my best to get it as close to perfect. Hope you like the improvements
