Since 1946, when it was determined the Jet was here to stay. The U.S. Navy had begun procuring its own jet aircraft, but the slow delivery pace caused retention problems among pilots, particularly Marines still flying Vought F4U Corsairs. To increase land-based jet-transition training in the late 1940s, 50 F-80Cs were transferred to the U.S. Navy from the U.S. Air Force in 1949 as jet trainers. Designated TO-1 by the Navy (changed to TV-1 in 1950)

This skin depicts a TV-1 from Moffett Field in Navy training colors.

So come on, Sailor!  Let's get into the Jet Age!

And a big shout-out to Haluter and Prism for making this so much easier!
