Fly the F-84E from the 49^th FTR Bomb Group as ‘A’ flight Commander as they bomb two critical rail bridges near the town of Hwangju. F-86A Sabres from 334^th Squadron, 4^th Fighter Wing will provide overhead protection during your attack as Mig-15’s have been reported in your area.

My advice is to keep your aircraft on autopilot for take-off, transit and bombing attack then stopping your autopilot for your rocket attacks. The reason for you doing this is that I experienced some difficulties with getting the F-84E’s off the ground manually due to aircraft weight and flap problems which I will be reporting to the IL-2 Korea Team in ‘Technical Issues and Bug reports’.

This mission was typical of many F-84E, F-80C and F9F-2 Panther ground attack missions flown at the time to stem the Chinese supply’s flowing to the front line.
