Its swept wings helped address one of the great challenges of early jet aviation: maintaining control as aircraft approached higher speeds. At the time, it was still experimental. Within a few years, the Sabre would become one of the defining aircraft of the air war over Korea. The F-86A entered combat against the MiG-15 in late 1950. Their encounters became one of the most memorable chapters in aviation history - a chapter you can experience from the cockpit of the F-86A-5 in Korea. IL-2 Series.
