F80 Engine Dying after fast travel

Not giving fuel starvation or anything, engine just dies. Retried and same thing, engine died about 10 seconds after fast travel no apparent reason. Issue directly after update.

Yes, and mission temp is 43f.  Only the auto setting for fuel pumps is able to be mapped now.  Throttle only at 50% at low alt and random shutdowns keep happening.

This is happening in other modes without fast traveling as well.  Just had engine shut off shortly after takeoff in free flight in an F80.  Fuel helper was on.   Game is unplayable for me right now w/ F80.

What was the flight altitude? Was water injection enabled?

Just after takeoff about 2000 ft.  No.  Fuel management is on.  Have at least 200 hours flying F80 and this is the 1st time I have ever had such issues after update.  Not doing anything different than the last hundred hours or so of flying......  Suspect it is fuel related, but the system is terrible to manage without proper keybinds.  If so, why is it happening w/ auto fuel management?

Do the problems start after takeoff? Takeoff from the runway or from the parking? I recorded the video from the mission that you attached in the first post of the thread. The bug didn’t reproduce. Could you describe your actions in more detail before the problem occurred, record a video or a track?

I have had the engine shutdown on runway idling, but mostly in flight.     Shutdown at 1:07   Thank you for the help.

Pressing Escape key is also shutting down my engines in all aircraft to go along with the random shutdowns. (tested on F80 and F51) Definitely not mapped to that in any way.  Starting to think my controller input file is corrupt or something.  Haven't been able to fly a single mission since the update.  Really disappointed

Track is a .trk file and a folder with the same name. The mission is located in that folder. Please attach the folder as well.

Check which buttons are assigned to start and stop the engine.

If you want to reset the settings, you can either restore the default settings from within the game or perform a complete reset by deleting the contents of the Input folder. Save the contents of the “Input” folder to another location. Then delete the contents of the “Input” folder in the game directory. After that, start the game using the launcher. Keep in mind that this will reset your control settings, and you'll have to reconfigure all the buttons.

Giving it a shot right now.  Not looking fwd to rebinding, but just want it fixed. Appreciate the help, thank you.

Game wont launch with those files deleted.  Keeps going unresponsive on start.  Using launcher, not Steam.  If I use "restore files"  it will wipe everything and not just binds right?

Edit:  after moving the files back hitting escape toggle "autoclimb" helper every time press, doesn't shutdown engine........  Toggles it on and off whenever pressed.  Not bound in the setting in any way....

“restore files” wipe all user settings. If you don’t want that, just restore the deleted files from the backup.

What file keeps the aircraft flight test results? I have my careers and screen shots backed up, just don't want to lose my time trial tests that have been completed.  Thank you for all the help.  This is driving me nuts.

Exams are stored on the master server, meaning they are already saved to the account. You can also save:
data\NSData\UserData\

Also check the buttons on the joystick to see if there are any accidental activations.

Unplugged/replugged tested all gear, and restarted.  Reinstalled after deleting those input folder items and rebound my keys.  Escape key now does these things before takeoff on a quick task editor mission.  It actually made my boosters jettison as well.  My game is still broken. Not a single complete flight since updating.  Seems to be others having this issue as well w/ phantom key bindings and random systems doing random actions that are not bound. 😞

Stid,

I along w/ at least one other user having this issue are using the TM Warthog throttle/stick.  Hope this helps.

I can confirm that open the map causes open/close canopy. It happens when my keybind on hotas is still active. It’s a toggle switch and for usual I let it on the active position to prevent accidentally open/close.

I checked the keybinds, there are no mixed up settings.  

 

More seem to be popping up with the same issue in the patch thread.
