Camo skins in general

Recently i ran Athelread's Hurtigan campaign and noticed the nice and clean P47D-28 skins it selects .....

seemingly from some CamoX.gtp, called p47d28_blank_03. What's the use of the blank named ones?  Tactical codes use?

I'd like to edit some more dirt to these skins, but where should i put the edited files from the Camo.gtp when ready to auto load?

when you have edited the files you can put them in the skins folder with the appropiate name like your p47d28_blank... .dds and it replaces the original one, if i understood you question correct this should work for you
