Vkb nxt evo Questions

Is there anyone Flying Il2 that can help me with issue. I have been trying to Map with my vkb ww2 stick but i simply can't Map Pitch, Roll, and yaw. I have a new vkb nxt evo gnx . I've been flying Il2 for years but now I'm stumped. Went to AI for help but they informed " i don't know if its true or not" that there is a conflixtion between Il2 and Steam" Is there anyone out there that would be kind enough to help. Thank you for your time on this issue.
