There needs IMO to be the ability to perform an in flight Engine relight easily. Currently it seems all you can do is the "Eng Start Sequence" routine which in the case of an in flight relight is unrealistic.

To get a realistic in flight relight capability would require the ability to specifically select the throttle (or main fuel valve) to OFF... then the ability to select the Throttle to IDLE from OFF ... so a dedicated Keybinding needed. This could also enhance the engine start and Shutdown sequence.

In addition a key binding to initiate the relight system (igniters).

Giving these Key bindings would then give the pilot the ability to perform both "hot relights" or Full relights.

May be different for others, however for the jets I've flown (similar vintage to these) for a hung compressor the drill is to close the throttle, restore stable intake conditions, accelerate (if slow), close the HP fuel cock, then slowly reopen the HP cock whilst holding the ignitor button for no more than 30secs.

The obvious one here would be to have the HP cock as a shared axis with the mixture control for props and then just add a separate ignitor key binding.

It would also be nice to be able to shut the HP cock and activate the extinguisher when on fire so you can put the flipping flames out and try buy some more time to make a forced landing out of it....with the Banshee coming having 2 engines we are 100% going to need this so you can put the fire out on one engine and limp home on the other...

Following up on this thread. At present none of the jets have the ability to directly shut of the HP fuel cock or start the igniters, we are limited to either the entire Shutdown or Start Routine with all its its automated switch flicking whilst on the ground. In flight if you press Eng Start/Stop you get an abbreviated shut down with out the switch flicking, but lack the ability to close the throttle to Stop. Then pressing Start you get a pseudo relight with some automated switch flicking.

We need the ability to Shut off the HP cock, and start/stop the igniters.

F86 : Needs the ability to by throttle movement close the throttle to Stop thus closing the HP cock. Then needs the ability to open the throttle from the STOP position to Idle. Ideally by direct throttle option or if need be a keybind. We then need the ability by specific keybind to turn the Emergency igniters ON and Off ... guarded switch on right front console panel. (which at the moment is incorrectly ON all the time with guard raised).

F84: Same as F86. Though in the F84 the igniters are started they auto stop in 45 secs unless turned OFF earlier.

Panther: similar to F86/F84 though in the Panther ignition is automatic once the throttle is moved from OFF to Idle

MIG15: Need the ability to directly manipulate (by Keybinding) the Fuel Engine Shut off valve lever located below and behind the throttle. And then by direct keybinding be able to turn on and off the Relight switch located on the left console panel. (The fuel Shut off lever currently does in fact move with start/Stop keypresses)

The ability to directly place the throttle to OFF or in the case of the MIG15 the Fuel lever cock is also important for in flight use in recovering from compressor stalls and or overtemp situations.
