Ground unit AI

I am not sure where to put this so here seems as good as any;

I have seen lots of talk about the air units AI but I just watched the ground unit AI do something down right stupid.....I mean flat stupid.

I was flying along and what do I know but three commie vehicles putzing down the road.  Well I have a full tank of nape so lets roast some reds.  My bombing skills being what they are I land my napalm long.....DRAT.  Then I see on screen where I am killing the trucks and armor cars....glad I recorded this lets see what happened.

 

Anyone guess.....they drove right into the fire and killed themselves.  I think this would be pretty easy to fix, program the ground AI vehicles if fire is ahead stop at worst, turn around at best.

First time I have seen that.

It's harder than you think.  But still hilarious.

I napalmed a train a couple week ago and the locomotive and tender emerged from the fire still running down the track, on fire.   It eventually rolled to a stop and I got credit for the kill.   That is plausible.  Wish I hade taken a screenshot.
