Server Suggestions

I think it would be really interesting if the server made you choose your coalition before you actually entered the mission, and once you selected a side, the map only showed information that your side would realistically know.

For example, if you chose Blue, you would only be able to see Blue airfields, friendly positions, known defensive locations, and whatever intelligence had been provided in the mission briefing. The opposing side’s airfields, ground objectives, troop concentrations, and other strategic positions would be completely hidden from the map.

Enemy objectives could either be described through the mission briefing using landmarks, coordinates, headings, or reconnaissance information, or the map could simply show a large general search area instead of placing an exact objective marker. Pilots would then actually have to navigate into that area, visually identify the target, and confirm its location before attacking it.

It would also make reconnaissance and communication between players much more important. If someone discovers an enemy airfield, convoy, artillery position, bridge, supply depot, or troop concentration, they could relay that information to the rest of their team rather than everyone automatically knowing where everything is from the beginning.

You could even take it further by having some objectives completely unknown until they are discovered. Once a friendly aircraft flies close enough to identify the target, its location could temporarily become available to that coalition, almost like battlefield intelligence being updated in real time.

I think something like this would make the server feel much more like an actual Korean War air campaign instead of both sides essentially having perfect knowledge of the battlefield. Navigation, reconnaissance, communication, planning, and learning the terrain would become much more important. It would also make strike missions more rewarding because finding the target would be part of the mission instead of simply following a marker directly to it.

It could also help reduce situations where players immediately fly toward known enemy airfields because they already know exactly where everything is located. Enemy airfields would have to be discovered through reconnaissance, intelligence from the briefing, observing enemy traffic, or simply learning their approximate location over time.

Obviously experienced players would eventually memorize some locations, but hiding enemy information on the map would still create a much better fog-of-war system and make each mission feel more immersive and dynamic.

Need a bigger playerbase imo for this sort of more full real. There is only a couple of servers with peeps even on atm. Most i've seen is about 40 at once on a single server on the the weekend so far.

Here's a server suggestion.  I've played for a couple of months now and obviously when we get 20 on 20 its a great time in multiplayer.  But, even 20/20 is very sparse if the targets are spread all across Korea and the DPRK.  Last night we had decent numbers on Combat Box and the map with the DPRK targets clustered along the east coast drew the activity to a smaller section of territory and let to great action.  We flew with a guy who just installed the game and he ended up have a blast.  I have however been on several times when first time players logged on and flew for an hour and never saw an enemy aircraft and left with a bad taste for the multiplayer aspect of the game.  If the mission makers try to scale the target area to the expected player count and not spread them all over the country it will be more fun for everyone IMHO.

Also, I know AI eats CPU cycles but even single AI planes flying around occasionally would help add more "life" to the maps
