Valis Posted Wednesday at 06:39 PM Posted Wednesday at 06:39 PM (edited) Massive objects like dams or bridges are popular targets and useful reference points, but their 3D models only resolve when very close. Is it possible to extend the view distance of these structures (of which there are relatively few) without having to extend the view distance of every other 'lesser' ground object as well? YoYo Posted Wednesday at 06:44 PM Posted Wednesday at 06:44 PM Here, I'd also add added objects that are targets, such as vehicles, artillery, etc. Sometimes, at maximum zoom, you can't even see them until you're relatively close. However, all of this is for performance. If this were to come at the cost of performance, it's best not to touch them. Home cockipt: GPU RTX5090, CPU i7 13900, RAM 64Gb. | Webmaster of yoyosims.pl. MajorMagee Posted Wednesday at 08:47 PM Posted Wednesday at 08:47 PM At least it faded in and back out again without just popping into existence. Service To The Line, On The Line, On Time! 9800X3D, 64 GB DDR5, RTX 5070-Ti 1024 GB/s @ 2700 MHz 0.85V, Calibrated 8 bit IPS 3440x1440 @ 100Hz

The performance cost should be minimal because from that distance they should be visible but also have low polygon LOD.
