Having lag spikes in VR

Hey there. I'm currently running into the issue where the game occasionally stutters for 0.5-1 seconds, like one big lag. 

Outside of that it runs super smooth. 

 

My system is 9800x3d, 5090, 64GB RAM and a Pico VR headset. 

 

My setting are FSR Performance+ (I don't know why but FSR works better than DLSS for me, and DLSS causes the same issue) 

 

Outside of that I tried pretty much all Graphics settings but the problem persists. I also don't encounter this issue in any other VR game.

I‘d first try to turn resolution very low to be 100% sure that there is enough GPU headroom.

If stutters still appear then, you can at least be quite sure it‘s no GPU overload issue.

ProcessLasso could help you to force IL2 to run on the CPU performance cores.

Another candidate are tools / services outside the game. Test if it helps to stop everything that‘s not absolutely needed. Maybe even Antivirus tools for testing.

I detected that with Vurtual Desktop (the beta version with usb cable) I have stuttering, but not with the Meta Link. Could it be that?
