GiftGruen Posted August 12 Posted August 12 (edited) Though i have somewhat lower resolution ( due to general lower performance ) in my VR glasses, I have the impression, that spotting and identifying in Korea is easier compared to IL2 BoX. Of course, condense stripes and sparkling metal helps, but also the silhouettes seem clearer to me. You share this impression? Felipe_Czar Posted August 12 Posted August 12 (edited) Spotting seems superb on my end. I guess is a bit better than BoX but not by much. I'm still playing that as well on the side. It is been better IDing MiGs from Sabres than Bf-109s and FWs from Spits and Mustangs. I haven't came across the La-11 yet but it is very close to a F-51 as shown in videos. Technically, I never had trouble with IDing in BoX inside what is realistic and it is the same way here in Korea. Edited August 12 by Felipe_Czar
Dash,Polder Posted August 12 Posted August 12 Any opinions or experiences with the effects of bloom this time around? On or off?
Voxman Posted August 12 Posted August 12 It does seem like it in VR. I was able to spot a group IL10s from a distance before their icons came on. I would love to see adjustable icons or at least as a few have asked color triangles without pilot names, or a/c label. Nevertheless, I'm very impressed what I've been seeing. 1 Computer: AMD 7800x3D, Nvidia 5070Ti, 64Gb DDR5-6000. Input devices: Virpil Aeromax Flightstick; Virpil VMAX Throttle, Charlie Rudder. Viking1 Posted August 13 Posted August 13 (edited) Would be awesome if it was configurable. Id leave air targets as they are but id have an LOD option to double the size of vehicles. I realize its different for players under 60 or so but I just dont have the eyesight I had 10 years ago. Edited August 13 by Viking1 1 1

I have perfect eyesight (according to my optometrist) and I frequently can't see planes and ground targets. Then I realized it isn't because of my eye sight - it's because the game simply doesn't render them in certain cases. 2
Jade_Monkey Posted August 13 Posted August 13 There is definitely something going on either distant spotting dots disappearing from certain angles/distances. The very long distance dots seem fine. At medium distances, the silver sunglare version of the dot works, but when it turns to the dark one, it doesn't render. It's not that it blends better with the background, it's not there at all. Well know and documented issue in multiplayer - exactly the same as in GB. Sadly never was fixed in GB and was copied to Korea. https://youtu.be/fs46K7t-VIE?is=xsWjAx4HyFxSqyNe Edited August 13 by Husar 2

DLSS, DLAA, FSR, FXAA, MSAA, no anti-aliasing at all. I'm currently leaning on FSR as the best blend between spotting and pretty picture. There are some DLSS presets that hinder spotting significantly, but I don't think this is some kind of DLSS-artifact. 1
