We’re preparing something special for it, but for now, here’s a small hint of what’s waiting for you.

Now that will be really fun in VR!  We need hand tracking support though :classic_biggrin:

I know! It is a fly simulator! A first person simulator where we can be a fly and fly around the airbase!

I can clearly see the gaps in modeling. :classic_wink:

In game, clearly not the same as the teaser image.

If it's not the early MiG-15, maybe MiG-9 then?

No progress for VR? The suffering continues.

No. The MiG-9 didn't have a camera and had a much longer nose. I'm guessing it was an early MiG-15.

MiG-15bis 45 deg (MiG-17)?

Posted

Google AI photo search thinks it is an early version MiG-15 (before the Bis release).  I think that is correct since that would make the most sense in the career to fill a gap for the MiGs flown by the North Koreans and Chinese.  It would be great if the F-86 E/F would be released as well.

It kind of matches a MiG-17 nose but I dismissed that as there were none in the Korean War unless the devs have some super secret info.

It could also just be more advanced rendering capabilities they came across.

Or something more mundane, to me at least,  built-in gun cam recordings.

I do wonder if they could also be rebaking the models from high detail master files? Could be an optional graphics upgrade? (not that we need it nor that most of our computers could run it - but there will always be someone with a 5090 asking the devs to push the limits even further into more insane levels of detail).

That said - I wonder if they'll announce the Mig-15 and F-86E/F as part of the DLC? If so, then we'd only have three carrier capable aircraft.

That's obviously a 1949 Buick truck.

And this is a tank crew 2 reveal.

I love clues...even though they constantly remind me that I have no idea what I'm looking at 90% of the time.

That fastener head is really more detailed than the current Mig 15 model, so perhaps a super high res detail pass on all the models?

If it is an earlier MiG (and Sabre) shouldn't they have been released first...

Zooming into the image, there is a clear movement blur due to a real camera shutter speed which may be handheld in this case.
I believe it makes it a photograph of a real plane rather than a render. Also having a background with some objects increases its likelihood.
