Jade_Monkey Posted August 9 Posted August 9 Hi fellow mission makers, I have some questions related to the Command: Reposition MCU. How do you interpret this setting? Is it the time it takes for the reposition to take place in real player (human) time? (sort of like a fade in-out time) OR is it the simulated time (in seconds?) that took for the virutal pilot to get there from one side of Korea to the other? Assuming it's the latter of the two: 1. What is the effect on fuel? does it take out more fuel if you set a longer reposition time? 2. Does it also change (advance) the time in game (e.g. if you were flying at night, you might advance to see the sunrise, sort of like having a built-in time shift MCU). Or do you have to use the time shift MCU in conjunction to make this work? Thanks!! AMD Ryzen 5800X3D | Nvidia RTX 4090 | 32 GB DDR4 | nVME SSD | VR headset: Pimax Dream Air SLAM

This is the way to "skip ahead" in a mission, the new feature that you see in career mode and Black Friday sample missions. It literally just teleports you and your flight to where this command is located. 1 1 AMD Ryzen 5800X3D | Nvidia RTX 4090 | 32 GB DDR4 | nVME SSD | VR headset: Pimax Dream Air SLAM

For the time, you need a Translator:Time Shift MCU. That one does seem to take fuel into account; one time I tested over a 20min flight, skipping resulted in a similar fuel usage.

The dialogue box in the Player Reposition MCU is the time you skip during your travel from point A to point B in seconds. It should match the time in the time shift dialogue box which is in hours, minutes and seconds. 1. It does not consume more fuel if you set a longer time, but do not increase the distance to where you reappear. 2. It does not shift the time in the game, that is accomplished with the Time Shift MCU which changes the time of day in the game. Yes it can be used as a time shift tool, for example to make videos. You use both of them together to make it work when you skip time, so if you calculate your travel distance/speed/time and convert it to minutes and seconds, you take that number, convert it to simple seconds and plug it into the reposition dialogue. After running a test, neither the Time Shift MCU or the Reposition MCU accounts for fuel usage, that seems to be calculated by the game based on the distance from where you initiate the time shift to where you reappear. I will test it a little bit more to make sure Edited August 9 by Jaegermeister 2 Ryzen 7 7800X3D l 32GB DDR5-6000 l RX 7900 XTX 24GB - AMD Adrenalin V.26.6.4 l HP Reverb G2 I Windows 11 Home
