Someone on the Steam forums requested a Honeycomb Echo controller profile, and since more people might be interested and I can share files here I thought this might be the place to post it.

Unzip the file in the game\data\Input\custom folder.

The Echo is a gamepad style controller specifically made for flightsims, with specialised controls for engine management, landing gear, flaps and more. However, it seems to be mostly made for civil aviation, and there are some quirks when you're using it for combat flightsims:

- Like on the default xbox controller profile, I set up the bumpers as modifyer buttons. When you use them, you'll access the secondary functions of other keys

- The triggers are digital buttons, not axes. Pressing them will move the rudder, but it won't auto centre. To do that, you must press a bumper and a trigger together. Because the differential brakes are tied to the triggers, this does make taxiing a bit more tricky, especially on the Russian planes. My advice is to line up the plane best you can, then pull back on the joystick to lock the tailwheel so you don't veer off too easily. Ideally, start on the runway so you don't have to taxi;

- There's not a lot of button controls for your right hand, but you want to keep your left hand on the joystick as much as possible so I had to get creative: the trim wheel doubles to drop bombs (right bumper + trim wheel up) or fire rockets (right bumper and trim wheel down). The flap switch also controls your supercharger and your booster (with the left bumper), or the wheel brake and the fire all guns command (with the right bumper). You can also fire all guns with the left face button like on the xbox controller, but then you'd have to take your hand off the controller;

- Clicking the joystick opens and closes the multimenu and you use the hat switch to navigate it. There's a lot of functions here that you don't have assigned otherwise, it will be your best friend;

- I haven't assigned any buttons to padlock or locking targets but that could be useful, because the hat switch and the joystick are also on the same hand;

- I haven't assigned the parking brake, the dedicated switch is instead used for the airbrakes.

So it's not perfect by any means, but it's kind of cool to control everything from a gamepad, including your prop and mixture.

Please let me know if and how it works and what you'd change!

I'm sorry to hear that, I'll look into it but that might be out of my control 😞
