Jinzo Posted August 8 Posted August 8 Hello, all I have a Issue my microsoft ffb2 joystick doesn't operate the rudder in the Sabre, it works in all other planes but the Sabre. i can see the pedals moving in the cockpit and the input being applied on the HUD but no movement in the actual rudder its self again all planes work fine apart from the Sabre. plugged in my x52 joystick to make sure it wasn't something ive missed and that works fine in the Sabre so i know it isn't me. Anyone else use this stick have the same problem ? 2
firefox121 Posted August 8 Posted August 8 Yes, if you asign the rudder to microsoft ffb2 it wont work , not keyboard not other devices, if you have any kind of rudder pedals or anothe axis free on your hotas try to remove the sidewinder rudder axis and it will work fine.
Jinzo Posted August 8 Author Posted August 8 Hi Firefox, Thanks for the response, i think you may of misunderstood, the assigned hotas for rudder works fine on all other planes except the Sabre, removing it means it doesn't work for any plane ? I don't have rudder pedals, it has to be a issue with the game talking to my joystick as surely if it didn't work it wouldn't work for any plane. again i can see the pedals moving in cockpit and it moving in the virtual hood but it does'nt actually move the rudder on the plane itself.
AlenC Posted August 8 Posted August 8 (edited) I was going to report this issue as well. My joystick is Saitek Cyborg 3D force. Also an FFB stick. Rudder (joystick`s twist axis input) works on other planes such as F80 and P51, but not on F86. The rudder pedals are animated, but rudder itself doesn`t move. Also, in the HUD, I can see the input being registered, but the square indicator barely moves. In other planes I have tested, the square indicator deflects almost fully (high speed profile might have been in effect). And I should also stress that there is no force from rudder applied on the plane (it`s not just a visual bug). Edit: I thought of switching twist and horizontal axes for test. So I used twist axis for roll movement and it worked perfectly, but horizontal axis had no effect on plane`s rudder... Edited August 8 by AlenC typo, clarification 1
Jinzo Posted August 9 Author Posted August 9 Thanks for the info Alen, Sad because i cant ply the sabre, but then glad to hear im not the only one suffering. Hopefully the Devs sort it soon 1
Looksharp Posted August 9 Posted August 9 hey jinzo. im also having the exact same issue as you describe. i also use the MS FFB stick hope they sort it soon. 1 1
DEMON Posted August 12 Posted August 12 as temporary solution i suggest vjoy+hidhide+joystick gremlin. Create two virtual joysticks, hide original device from game, assign two ffb axis to first device and others to second virtual device. For first virtual device activate ffb in vjoy settings. Worked for me.
