That's why I created a separate BAT file for each simulator. First, I run it, which overwrites the settings in the Oculus Debug Tool each time. As you mentioned, OCT has a stubborn tendency to revert certain settings on its own (I'm mindful of that). I know Ctrl+Num1, but it doesn't make a difference. However, when I manually enable ASW, there is indeed a difference, as I mentioned earlier, so I assume it's off. However, it could also be an OpenXR/runtime programming issue as well + performance, and it would probably be worth looking into.

Your performance is very poor considering the hardware you have. Perhaps the problem lies within your operating system between openxr layers? You might want to try installing a fresh OS—even on a fast USB drive—and compare the performance. You don't even need to reinstall IL-2. My graphics card is practically 50% less powerful than yours, yet I don't experience such drops anywhere.

@YoYo do you still use the Oculus Tray tool app? Is it still relevant to use, specially now when there is this new VectorXR?
I heard about it here, so still don't have it installed. Does it also come in handy in DCS?

Yep, all the essential features that were previously only available through ODT/OTT are now available in VD, and VDXR uses less VRAM.

No, OTT doesnt work from some time.

Except it's not just me. You hear a lot of VR performance issues here on the forum, on Discord, and on Facebook (these are the most common ones). You seem to be in the niche that's happy, so you're lucky. I have the IL-2 Korea on a very fast NvMe drive as well with a throughput of over 7k Mbps. I also have absolutely no issues with DCS, IL-2GB, or even MSFS2024 (0 jams everywhere, 72 frames, runs very well and Im happy). Would that mean there's something wrong with my system? Well, not exactly. The problem is only with the IL-2 Korea, where performance is noticeably weaker at airports, over cities, and in places with many objects (full ground missions) Single Player (in Multiplayer it's better than in SP, even by about 30%). If the map is empty, I get a constant 72 frames at 72Hz.

On older cards but Nvidia Blackwell architecture (50 series): The RTX 5080 has such a huge amount of raw shading and pixel power that ordinary reflections on the glass in the cockpit barely register as a load on the GPU. I don't notice any difference on and off

I think OpenXR/runtime itself might have something to say here. You've actually got a good result. I don't have VD, but this might be the answer to the existing problems, as it bypasses Oculus's settings. I definitely need to try VD, but since I don't have any great 5G WiFi and my router is more of a classic model from a few years ago, I'll wait for official support for VD with a cable. There's currently a beta version of VD with this software:

A USB-C-to-Ethernet adapter is another great way to bypass the Wi-Fi router, but it’s probably better to wait for the new VD release.

The current VD beta works over a USB connection — no need for Wi-Fi or a USB-C-to-Ethernet adapter to bypass the Wi-Fi router.

Unfortunately, there's nothing groundbreaking here. I even have higher settings, and in many cases, like in the video here in VR, I get better frame rates.

Notice that in 2D this person at the airport has even 78 frames, it is noticeable in 2D, for me in 2D everything that was below 100 frames is visible as a lack of smoothness (when I was still flying in 2D):

VR (B-29 attack), no joy as well and not only does it have a 0.5 change in resolution, it also has DLSS performance:

There should still be work here on the developers' side I suppose.
