Hotfix 1.003 is now live

Today we are uploading the second hotfix for the release version of Korea.

It includes important stability fixes, as well as corrections to multiplayer, aircraft, localization, and other game elements.

Why add the PPK-1 G-suit modification to career, when Yefim Gordon's source text that was specifically used as justification for the addition of the G-suit very clearly states (bottom of page 72 and top of page 73) that the G suit never made it to Korea?

The COMMS menu has been gutted. I haven't seen any information on this. I'm sure there is a plan here can you let us in on the details and how long we might wait to see a final COMMS menu?

This patch or the one before it (maybe day one) fixed it (problem with statistics and FFB bases). Thank you! It's fine now! 👍

It has to do with them disabling a lot of it until they improve the AI.

Disappointed to not see the quanity of friendly AI mid-air on the list. This happens WAY too often.

there is another source (its on russian) thats states it did:

Armada series from 1998 p.71



"During the last month of the Korean War MiG`s started to be updated for use of the anti-G suits PPK-1....
... Thus all, during Korean War, most of the requirements of the 64IAK pilots has been solved...".

So old frontline airframes has been updated to use it.

PS: but in case if you still have a doubdts about it - just dont set it on - thats why its done as a mod, and by default - its disabled in carrer - you can only set it on - when you commander only when it became available as a mod (we set it available as a mod from May 1953, as we have info - about serial production airplanes was fitted with it from April 1953, so possibly some of them make it into Korean War).

Indeed; it may be a placebo (or wine induced hallucination) but performance seems to be a bit better in VR on my system!

Not better here. Does smoke have anything to do with fps drop? I think it's noticeable. Airfield attacks are the worst here. But as I've mentioned before, that's how it is in great battles, doghfight over leningrad = slideshow. I will be very surprised if they optimized the game for ground attacks/ heavy air missions with many bombers in VR. 5080 Q3

• Fixed a double cursor appearing after Alt-Tabbing.
• Fixed the display of completion marks for passed Exams.
• Fixed the observer camera position when the Spectate button is activated in the lobby.

I believe the next patch is coming this month (see: https://stormbirds.blog/2026/09/01/bombers-and-banshees-the-roadmap-ahead-for-il-2-series-and-great-battles/), though whether this includes any optimisation for VR is not clear.

In the mean time try reducing the FOV in VD (or whatever connecting software you use) - a modest reduction in FOV can save a lot of pixels and create quite a bit more room for more consistent fps.

Its not the pixels or FOV its the game its self. DLSS is broken. VRAM usages is way over the top for an upscaling, FSR-AA is the only upscale working for me. 

Ground textures pop and targets disappear. 2D and max setting and all runs smooth. But VR some thing not right.
