Hello, pilots!

Today we are releasing the day-one patch for the release version of Korea. It includes fixes for missions, Career, aircraft, multiplayer, graphics, sound, and other game elements.

Thank you for your reports and feedback. We continue to monitor the situation closely and work on improving the game.

And a special thank you for your reviews on Steam. We read them carefully and take them into account as we continue working on the game

Really could use 5-10% improvement in VR performance. Wish there was something that could done that would allow that to happen.

Eh, going from 40 to 44 isn't the difference between playable and non-playable.

Thanks! A pleasant surprise. Of course, as usual, I'll ask for optimization work to make it work better in VR.

What's happened to the Commands? They've been completely stripped back and changed for the worst IMO. Engagement orders have lost the choices of 'within sight', 'close range', 'medium range', 'long range' & replaced with a very vague choice of patrol low, current or high. I take this as being altitude relevant to the AI aircraft you're giving order to & if this is the case, then why have the original distance command choices been replaced with the patrol low, current & high to ground targets as well? How are the AI going to be looking about for Triple A guns at current or a higher altitude?!

My insufficient video card  warnings went away after this patch...  Since I did nothing else, I imagine you improved something in the game, thank you !

Some of the commands have been removed until they can be refined further.

I started playing the game in early access and there are many enjoyable improvements makes the flight experience more realistic and by that way more fun 🙂
- much more detailed cockpit management
- Detailed modelled fuel system (Hopefully controllable by the user in the future?🤩) with detailed damage model.
- Amazing sound
- Amazing animations of ground targets in any aspect, sound/damage/explosions
- A so much improved single player experience and career mode with start from the parking position, take off, regrouping, the possibility of complex radio communication with the group and ground control, simply wow!! Only the Ai skill on this aspect needs to be improved, to many accidents without any enemy contacts occurring. ( in the EA phase, not sure it’s better now)
- Visual effects while using the gunnery… these smoke effects.. breathtaking.

In all these topics I mentioned ( and I may still forget some aspects ) you already created a masterpiece!!

But the performance of the most significant addictive medium (VR) is—to put it kindly— sobering.

Of course my Varjo headset, and the game too, are very demanding but I hoped for a better experience with my system.

I have closely followed all the posts regarding VR and tried to tweak everything as best I could. I tested lot in the game settings, in the headset and steam vr settings and in the NVIDIA app. However, resolution scaling is likely the biggest factor. Yet, to achieve a good frame rate, I have to lower the resolution to the point where the game simply doesn't look good anymore. And even when I scale it to 90 fps I still experience some stutters.
If the visuals aren't right, the game loses its appeal. Who would marry a shrew just because she can cook perfectly? ( Perhaps it helps to recall the scene where Oskar Schindler was looking for a secretary 😅)
When you create a game what is too demanding in VR even for the best current GPU‘s it becomes unattractive because it annoys me—because of the way it looks. And that is exactly what will keep me away from playing it, despite all the merits I’ve already mentioned. Because I see it every time I start the game…
Testing open xr instead steam vr and maybe  some changed settings in the NVIDIA app are my last options.

But also I hope you will be able make some decisive changes in VR performance, a lot depends on it.🙏🏻🙏🏻

You asked for constructive reviews, here is mine, unfortunately can’t give it on steam.

Bye the way, I can’t understand the pity discussions of the pricing, the software is way the cheapest if you create a solid home cockpit 😅
And the software you created is definitely worth the price!!

VR requires rendering twice. So unless your system can push 90fps, at least, in 2D - VR isn't going to run acceptably - and honestly 45fps is noticeably not smooth to me. There are way more polys being rendered in Korea, and polys have a huge hit on rendering.

Point is - have to really reduce graphics settings for VR even with top of the line GPUs... and the nVidia 5000 series is so lackluster compared to the 4000 series. nVidia really wanted everyone to swallow the DLSS + frame gen pill that the 5000 series relied on to not suck which is so expletive expletive expletive stupid.

And AMD decided to totally exit the high to top tier GPUs with their latest release.

用vr必须要会设置,不能完全按照平面显示器的思路去设置。 至少我现在90帧稳定是可以的

Quest 3 with 5080, the game standalone not on steam. 72hz, max resolution, dlss quality, preset k. 72 fps all the time except over cities and when there are air to ground missions. But that's how it is in great battles too. Air to air works well with DLAA and looks very good. In the campaign that came I have 72 fps almost all the time, even though there are air to ground missions. But all in all I'm very happy with the game. (I've also set ASW to auto, rather 35 fps with ghosting than stutter)

I get like 250 to 300fps in flat if i don't put on an FPS limit. I get from 35 to 70fps in vr.

DEVs please add UTF-8 support in steam game version, because i can't use Russian language in the settings in order to search setting or key bind
