3,000 plus bush pilot and warbird pilot, (only have flown the piston engine planes in game) flight simmer for 30 years.

Korea is great, the feel of flight, the landings could be one of the best in the simulation industry, stalls feels realistic too, Force Feedback its the best of any other sim IMHO also the DM its pretty believable , weather its on and off, some clouds don't look good, other look amazing, overall great job.

Wish list, I hope they implement wake turbulence, because it does make a difference.

Only issue I am having its the performance in VR and lack of resolution, hope it will improve with time, my PC is pretty fast AMD 9800X3D, and a 5090 and still I don't get smooth game at medium high settings.

Wake turbulence has been present since RoF, single player only though.

I never felt it in IL2 or Korea, where in DCS its modelled very well, just like IRL

This issue unfortunately comes up quite often. We're talking about high-end hardware, too. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this will be resolved finally.

Welcome on the sky over Korea! 💪

It doesn't visibly shake the cockpit, but I've flown behind planes in their wake and lost lift to a wing or otherwise had disturbances that caused control issues that otherwise wouldn't occur not getting behind a plane.

Its not even close to how it feels IRL

Here I am chasing another warbird, wake turbulence moves your plane around and you loose control of your plane when you cross it, you move your controls and nothing happens, at low altitude can make you crash.

I dont see this in Korea or ever saw it in IL2, if there is wake turbulence, then its super mild.

Agreed.  I would very much like to experience this real world effect in relation to the complexity of real world air combat.  I think it would introduce somewhat of a reality check for us comfy home chair PC pilots.  I hope the developers will take note of this thread and implement this effect.

It might sort out the men from the boys, lol, no offence intended. 😜

Thank you for this thread.

Happy landings,

Talisman

Cool to learn about a real pilot expeirence Motoadve!! Thanks for sharing! Hope they improve VR performance (and AI for me 🙂 )

Big hugs

It's reassuring to learn that Motoadve is a Beta Tester - hopefully this means his feedback will be incorporated and, perhaps eventually, we will get wake turbulence of the type he describes modelled in the sim.

Beautiful flying in the video btw:classic_ohmy:!

What type of plane is that - it looks a bit like a Soviet equivalent of the T-6 Harvard?

In scripted campaigns, people complain loudly if you include air turbulence at all, let alone level 3 or 4. It would have to be a feature that was optional or there would be a lot of negative comments about how it spoils their shots.

I personally agree and think turbulence on a stormy or clear cold day is an added welcome layer of realistic immersion.

People complain about the turbulence, but I think it's mainly because of how it was implemented (random disconnected bobbing). The way it's implemented in MSFS 2024 feels much better and would probably be acceptable to most players.

I'm typed in the TBM Avenger, P/TF-51 Mustang, L29 Delfin, and fly T6 Texans, Stearmans, BT13's, etc and I agree. It is by far the best sim out there.

CJ6 Nanchang, it started as a copy of a Yak 18 then got wider cabin, faster and more fuel capacity.

Honestly it flies easier than a Cessna , super predictable, easy to fly and  to do aerobatics, bit off topic but since I fly both I did a comparison video.
