This Mission has been adapted from the 1958 film 'The Hunters' starring Robert Mitchum, Robert Wagner, Richard Egan, May Britt and Lee Phillips. It follows Major Cleve Saville's first combat flight from Suwon air base in 1952. He had a mixture of pilots in his flight, some good some not so good?

See what happens when you approach 'Mig Alley'? This is my first Sabre mission, which is quite a different aircraft than the Mig-15, though enjoyable to fly. The picture shows Robert Mitchum descending from his Sabre cockpit - I bet he had a lot practices doing that?

Try and get a DVD copy of 'The Hunters' - the big 'A' is a good source.

The mighty DFLion, Clostermann's reenacter into the digital flying world, is back!! 

And since it the 50's, we have movies instead of books.

Good job, and thank you.

P.S. all those missions based on Clostermann's book are brilliant. Maybe we'll see them together as a campaign, but that's another story.

So happy to see you back into action, and that your 3rd iteration is coming back as a reenactment.

oh, my God! I've just obtained the movie!! It's with May Britt and .... damn, how did I miss that movie?

P.S. once the DLC wil be released, a mission based on the "Bridges of Toko-Ri" movie/novel will be awesome..... 🙂

The novel is much better than the movie which really got the Hollywood treatment

Huh, a F-84F with make-up.... cool.

The movie is, indeed Hollywood stuff, but i've liked it quite so far. Might be that Miss Britt got a hand in that?? 🙂 

I'll try to find out the novel, since i usually enjoy the book much more than the movie.

P.S.2 have you noticed? the Sabre pilots had G suits, the Mig ones nope.
