Crockett Posted August 1 Posted August 1 I just completed a career mission in an F80 and upon landing in the upper right corner in red it said "Not enough video memory". I didn't notice any issues while flying this mission. Does anyone know why I got this message? My computer specs are: Motherboard -- MSI MAG X870 Tomahawk WiFi Gaming CPU -- AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 8-Core, 16-Thread (4.2 Ghz) CPU Cooler -- Cooler Master Liquid 360L Core 360mm Close-Loop AIO Liquid Cooler GPU -- MSI Gaming RTX 5070 Ventus eX OC Graphics Card (12GB GDDR7) Memory -- Corsiar Vengeance DDR5 RAM 64GB Main SSD -- Crucial T700 4TB Gen5 NVMe M.2 SSD Storage SSD -- Crucial P310 2280 4TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe Gaming PS5 SSD with Heatsink Power Supply -- MSI MPG A1250GS PCIE5 Track IR 5 Monitor -- LG 27GR83Q-B 27-inch UltraGear QHD (2560x1440) IPS Gaming Monitor, 240Hz, 1ms, DisplayHDR 400, G-Sync AMD FreeSync Premium, HDMI 2.1 DisplayPort, 4-Pole HP Out DTS GP:X I do have more memory than recommended at 64GB of Ram. Could it be about my video card? Thank you for any help! Crockett 1
Dash,Polder Posted August 1 Posted August 1 It's not your RAM, it's the graphics cards VRAM that gets full and drops the warning. Mine typically fills up to around 18 Gig, out of 22 avaliable on a 24 Gig card.
Cadum Posted August 1 Posted August 1 Have the developers even acknowledged the VRAM retention issue? - the VRAM message that never goes away is annoying, but the VRAM retention issue is the real problem. Will this be fixed by the upcoming Release Version?
Panzerkatze Posted August 1 Posted August 1 Windows 10/11: The fastest way to reset the GPU driver and clear its memory is pressing Win + Ctrl + Shift + B, which restarts the graphics driver in about two seconds. Black screen while that is normal. If you have lots of background applications running and taking GPU VRAM, you can close them via Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) and sort by the GPU Memory column to end tasks consuming resources. 2
