Viking1 Posted July 25 Posted July 25 (edited) M2 and M3 are different animals. The F51 uses the AN/M2, but the American jets use the later gun. Ironic that the company with the big breakthrough to the rapid firing M3 was Frigidaire. For the impatient the M3 story starts around 12 minutes. The M39 didnt show up until 1953.
