Before taking the plunge....

... I have some questions I'd like more knowledgeable people to answer:

1) I own all the FC and BOX but I am a lazy pilot that enjoys simple engine management, having planes and ground targets conveniently pointed out and identified and doing somewhat clumsy landings (lack of finesse, for sure!). Can the Korea simulator be that forgiving?

2) About the interface, I've seen a youtube video that showed no helping data while flying. I am talking about the information icons on the right of the screen, the radio chatter on the bottim left or the flight data (altitude, speed, wind, etc) in the bottom part of the screen. Can this support info be shown while flying in Korea?

3) Are the defined keys as similar as possible to BoX?

4) How do you rate the adaptation to Korea from someone who has more than an year of experience flying BoX regularly and a bit of FC? Is it easy? Very time consuming? Can an aircraft engine be turned on by a single key or do I need to press several ande memorize the whole process? And shut down, is it possible to shut down the engine by pressing "E", much like in BoX?

In short yes to everything. you can have engine managment on and don't have to worry about RPM or blowing your engine or managing your oil cooler. There is nav aids you can have on to point you in the right direction and show your targets on the ground. you can start on the ground or in the air. you can start and turn off your aircraft just by pressing E (if engine management is enabled). And best of all, you can skip ahead right to the target if time is limited and you don't feel like flying the whole route.

Key binding is quite similar to BoX.

Also it is easier to fly a jet than a prop plane. You set the throttle and that's it. unless you are taking off or landing.

It's still the same game, just vastly upgraded and improved.  Better physics going on, an outstanding feeling of flight if that's what your after.  Everything is as fast as top end in Great Battles and faster, so you have a bit less time to make decisions is all.

In the end it‘s the same game, better graphics, faster jets, hopefully a better career mode and ( at the moment ) still an AI that‘s dumb enough to be blown out of the sky even if you are not Richthoven.

I'm mostly a Flying Circus player and I feel right at home in the F-80 shooting star (haven't tried all the planes yet). You can just max out the throttle and if you watch your maximum speed, you can fly until the fuel runs out. Very much like an Albatros.

The La11 and Yak9P engine management controls are slightly different with the introduction of servo controls for some shutters which means assigning them to keys/buttons/switches instead of axes. Haven't tried the Il10 yet, that's my next flight plan.

FWIW - This makes it a bit more like Flying Circus (as each aircraft has more character - i.e. they fly quite differently from each other)... and some of them risk shedding their wings like on the Typhoon/Tempest... but overall they are easier to fly than the P-47... but if you enjoy Flying Circus or the Typhoon you'll easily be embraced by this sim.

Just buy it buddy. Support a great new sim with buckets of potential. Lord knows we don’t get many.
