I'm not looking to report a bug, already done that. I'm just looking for help so I won't go crazy.

I'm suffering from the cursor/scrolling bug. It wasn't too bad, but it seems to have gotten much worse.

Now, it takes some kind of luck and patience for me to even get into a plane or, sometimes, to get into the keybind menu.

I've read that I need to bind the cursor axis. I've done that, though I have to use my joystick, because it won't recognize my mouse. The bug still happens.

I've bound the cursor up, down, left, right commands (which does recognize my mouse), but the bug still happens.

I've tried to pause TrackIR. I've tried opening the game without TrackIR running. The bug still happens.

My main issue is that when I do actually manage to get into a multiplayer server, the map scrolls to a corner without fail. The server doesn't allow the player's position on the map. But I don't know the map yet, and I can't study the map in real-time to be able to identify the landmarks. So I feel extremely limited in what I can do right now.

Even if I need to edit the config file manually, I just need to know what to do.

I do thank you for any help! :-)

Very strange. The cursor works fine for me, and it's something that should work fine for everyone. I'm betting it's more of a hardware issue than a game issue. Do you have Windows 11? What kind of mouse is that? Is your game resolution set to the same as your monitor's, fullscreen or windowed?

I noticed one strange mouse behavior: when I hold LCtrl in the menus, the mouse cursor can only move along the vertical axis.

There's also a report here that two cursors are visible. Only one is real. Maybe you have something like that.

It happened to me a bit often, like once in 10 time, approx

Menus became unusable and have to exit from end task.

Restarting fixes the issue.

Until fix, please don't go insane. 🙂

A crazy pilot is banned from flying!!

What is the behaviour you're experiencing? Your post just talks about "the" cursor bug, but there are many things that can go wrong.

You say you mapped your mouse to something, as well as bound the cursor axis. I don't think you should need to do either; at least I didn't.

What happens if you disconnect the mouse? If the bug still occurs, it's something with your other keybinds.

First question, did it ever work?

If it did work to start you either need to backtrack, or reset everything and proceed with a bit of caution.

I use Tobii Eyetracker 5 and had the same problem.  The only way to get Tobii working with Korea is to use Opentrack.  Apparently my Opentrack  .ini file got corrupted after making constant changes to the Opentrack settings.  You mentioned TrackIR so maybe it is similar.

So here is what I did.  Close Opentrack, close Korea.  Go to the Opentrack folder and delete all of the .ini files.  Go to Korea and backup the Input folder and then delete the Input folder.

Start Opentrack and reconfigure the settings.  Start Korea and see if everything is back to normal.  You will have to remap your controls or you can try moving the original Input folder back into the Korea file structure.

Happens to me occasionally too. Have to kill it with task manager. Next time I'll try to disable controllers one at a time and see which one is causing it.

none. it's the mouse. Chitz-chitz. 🙂

OK. I had similar issues in other games when my controllers were plugged in, constant scrolling etc.

Happened once IIRC, the problem went away when i switched everything to a different USB port.

Who told you that you need to bind your mouse? You don't need to bind your mouse to anything. What you've done is bound an analog device (your mouse) to a key map that expects digital (either/or) input. So every time the sensor on your mouse outputs something non-zero, that binding is activated to 100% and the cursor starts moving.

The cursor bindings are used to navigate the multimenu, not to move the mouse cursor around.

Yeah, I have my suspicions that it's related to TrackIR somehow.
I have Windows 10. I'm not sure of the model, but I believe I have a Red Dragon MMO mouse. Yep, I always use 1080p for everything. And I've tried both fullscreen and windowed.

On menus, it's like something is rotating through the different buttons (like clicking an arrow key) extremely fast. I can move the mouse to temporarily move the cursor, but it keeps cycling through the buttons even when the cursor is moving. Sometimes, if I leave everything alone, I can get it to stop by pressing the arrow keys repeatedly... but only sometimes. And it doesn't ALWAYS happen when I reach a menu, but it does sometimes. And if I reach a menu without it happening, it almost always starts when I move the mouse.

On the map, as soon as I move the mouse, it constantly moves the map down and right to the corner. There's no avoiding that whatsoever.

It also happens when I open up the communication window to give orders to wingmen. It just cycles through the options. Fortunately, I can still use it with number keys.

I read it from somebody in a Discord when someone else was having the same problem. They said it was due to the game using TrackIR input to navigate through menus by default for some reason, and the mouse needed to be bound to override it. But it didn't work for me.

Yeah, I didn't bind my mouse to anything until after it happened, and only did so to try to solve the problem. So it happens with the axis unbound. It even happens with the directional buttons unbound (at least with only arrow keys or only the mouse direction bound... if I did both together, I wouldn't even be able to get into the keybind menu again).

That could also be a problem. Windows 10 hasn't been supported since last fall, so I suspect even the developers aren't testing the simulator on that system. You have a free upgrade to Windows 11 (provided your PC meets the requirements). That's what I would do first.

Perhaps so, but the requirements list Windows 10. Unfortunately, I'd sooner get a refund than go to Windows 11, though. Windows 10 will be my last Microsoft OS, I'm rather certain. I suspect it's just a TrackIR issue, so 10 should be fine once the patches come :-)

Well, if it doesn't happen while TrackIR is running, what is the reason to suspect TrackIR?

I have the same problem and in my case it is caused by TrackIR with Proclip. The bug appears when I start Korea while the Proclip is turned off. If the Proclip is turned on when I start Korea, all is fine. Toggling the Proclip off/on while Korea is running can also cause this bug to appear and in one case it even crashed the game (no error message, game process died instantly).

Yes, this is an old issue dating back to GB that doesn't have an easy fix.

Happens on my end as well, but only if I don't center TrackIR before launching the game. My workflow is to launch TrackIR, pro clip on, center view then lauch the game. No issues with runaway mouse cursor then.
