I have a flight of 4 IL 10s with appropriate waypoints and attack area command set to attack ground targets, but all they do is circle around the target area.

I have tried lowering the last waypoint altitude and raising it to no avail.

In Great Battles I have not had this issue with flights set up the same way.

I have observed this in GB in very special situations too. If the attack area radius is comparable small I would suggest to increase it.

I will give that a try.  Thanks.

I increased the Attack area radius to 3000 meters, no effect, all aircraft just circle around in that area making for target drones for the ground based AAA units.

I added a second group of TU2s to attack my home airfield, same story, they just circle around and never drop their ordnance.  I have used the same set ups in GB missions and the AI will attack every ground target in the radius area with gusto.  I don't get it.

I'd post a zip of the entire mission, but it's too large.  So I have some screenshots from the Mission Builder...

This is the Attack flight.

And below is the Attack Area.

AttackArea.png.2c834f0f16003eb6e15dc83ab4ae81a2.png

The first Trigger Timer is set at 10 seconds, the second at 2 seconds.

The Waypoint is at 1000 meters altitude, Priority medium, Area 3000 Meters, Speed 400kph.

The Attack Area is set at 3000 Meters, "Attack Ground Targets", and Time of 20 minutes.

I have used this exact set up in Great Battles without issue.  I don't get it.

This is the IL 10 group, I also have a TU-2 flight set up to attack the US airfield, and a P-51 flight set to attack the NKAF field,  none of the flights will release their ordnance, they just fly around in the target area.

There are two La-11s set as escorts for the IL-10s that very aggressively will protect the IL-10s, so at least that works.

That Attack Area is missing a green arrow assigning the object to your planes. Right now you are triggering the Attack Area but it's not telling it who should be attacking.
