HDR setting - tone down/remove the bloom?

I don't know if bloom is a necessary component of the HDR option, and I understand the argument that it somewhat simulates the eye-catching glint of bare metal/canopies (something that Mig Alley 1999 also simulated), but the way it is now it's a bit like being on drugs...

bloom_enable = 0 in startup.cfg
plus turninig off sharpening will reduce those white scratches

Thanks for the tip - the scratches I'm not worried about, I can live with those.
