Ground attacks

Hello everyone,
I hope I'm posting in the right section.
I'm having a really hard time getting my AI to execute ground attacks. 
I'm using the exact same mission-building method as in *IL-2 BoS*, 
but here it feels like I'm dealing with beginners who crash into each other half the time. 
My apologies to the moderators if I'm late to the party with this question. 
Anyway, the AI isn't great.
